I would add to the list: E: Al Davis mercifully passing away in his sleep, after a long successful happy life. The only way the raiders will improve as a team in the long run.
No, I was saying the Jets will not be as easy for the raiders to handle as Denver was. That should be fairly obvious.
That's all bull anyhow, Pros are pros and that's not why we lost to the bills. And that won't be why the Jets lose to Sunday if they do in fact lose.
Yeah, I watched that game- it's the one where they came back against the mighty Raiders Defense after being down by three TD's? Most likely just jet lag. It causes people to make feeble arm tackles.
James C, ya that was established in my first post in this thread. Anyway, the wild card in this game are the Raiders. If the Raiders can being the D from MNF and the I from last week. They have a very good chance. Jets, will be ready and focused. If the Raiders can win this game, they can win the west and make the playoffs.
So what you're saying is if they play the Broncos offense and the Bills defense they win the game. The only issue is that they are playing the Jets defense and the Jets offense. Which are both better than either of the teams you have played.
all this talk about a Oak rookie WR but what about the Jets WRs/TEs? How are the Raiders going to stop Holmes, Keller, Burress, L.T, and Greene?????
The can't, the only chance they have is making sure Sanchez can't throw it to them. Because the receivers will be open.
Yeah jet lag causes you to not get off blocks, not adjust the game plan, telegraphing blitzes, not catching sure INT's, not making your arm tackles, getting a penalty and losing a fumble on a beautiful hit by your SS because the ref is a douche bag enforcing douche bag rules that didn't even apply to that hit, and not being able to defend 5 yard dink and dunks. Yeah I can see jet lag cause teams to lose!
Well if we're going to run the ball well, this would be the week to do it. Fred Jackson (yes, FRED JACKSON) ate those fools up for breakfast and lunch. Shonn Greene needs at least 23-26 runs 30 touches all together for 110-120 yards. I think he can do it, but he really needs to have a good game. I'm starting to think Schottenheimer's messed up his confidence.
I wasn't on-line too much last week. This is getting unbearable. I'm stuck here on the computer right now, because I have a napping baby and a wife out.
Nah. That's the thing that Campbell's become good at not doing. He rarely forces balls anymore. If anything he'll chuck the thing out of bounds too early anymore. He's become a very conservative quarterback. What he hasn't done this season is run the ball. He's not a great running qb but last season he was able to pick up key first downs with his legs. Hopefully for us he'll be able to do that a couple of times tomorrow. We're gonna need every tool in the shed to have a chance to win this one. But I just have this gut feeling that the homers are going to be reminded of some painful things by 4 p.m. PST.
Heres a fun diversion: Create The Next Great Raiders QB. Pick a first name: Jamarcus, Jason, Terelle And add the last name of your choice: Russell, Campbell, Pryor And if you want to get even more creative, you could even use the last names as first names- or vice versa. I'm going hyphenated: Jamarcus Campbell-Pryor. Hours of fun.
