If Hernandez is out that certainly helps us, but its not like he or gronkowski were visible in the playoffs at all lol. Call me a tin foil hat conspiracy theorist, but I think all this Ochocinco "not getting it" nonsense is just a ruse for us to let our guard down until week 5 when the Patriots will unleash ocho. We need to get the message to Rex to watch out for this lol.
How many yards has Ocho gotten vs us in how many games since Rex has been coach ? Im more worried about Haynesworth than Ocho, and Haynesworth is injured.
Uh huh. I guess in theory I agree with everything you are saying, I have just seen too many injuries that we have overcome to get worked up over the short-term loss of one of our many passing weapons. Just one more consideration... Oakland and Baltimore both have some pretty physical DLs. I don't necessarily see your weakened OL being healthy and rested come week 5 (crosses fingers).
Revis will be on Chad Johnson. He will be irrelevant. Cro will be on Branch. Wilson will be on Welker. And the other 8 guys will get the TE's and/or Woodhead.
Hernandez was injured in the playoffs last year... Unless I'm mistaken, Haynesworth was shaken up on Sunday, then came back onto the field a few snaps later after being stretched out by trainers. Have you actually heard anything to indicate he is injured?
I really hope Revis isnt on CJ, he already is irrelevant. Cromartie showed us he can shut CJ down,id rather see Revis put on someone who can actually play football.
Oh the point I was getting at is Ocho is completely irrelevant. Im certain Haynesworth will be playing against the Jets, but rather he is a bum and is far more menacing than Ocho can dream of being. Ocho simply doesnt have his head in the game, and has a history of being absolutely useless against our defense.
Mangolds expected to miss 1-2 games tops, not seeing any reports on Hernandez expecting him to be back that soon. Hell if Hernandez is on the field vs the Jets id expect him to be more of a liability for you guys than anything.
To be fair that was with Carson Palmer a shadow of his former self with Ocho clearly their #1 option where we could just stick Revis on him
I have seen reports doing exactly that. EDIT: Link http://espn.go.com/boston/nfl/story...england-patriots-te-aaron-hernandez-1-2-weeks
recent reports have said 4-6 weeks, but as I asked earlier: If NE isn't talking (they aren't) what makes these new reports any more credible than the first ones?
new injury he suffered off the field Aaron Hernandez thought about playing like Gronkowski and suffered a severe concussion.
Its an MCL tear, 1st degree tears usually take at least 3 weeks, 2nd degree tears take at least 6 weeks. Either-way Im unsure how it would take him only 1-2 weeks to recover from something that usually has a 3 week recovery minimum.
Hernandez combined with the Gronkenstein sure seems to provide some tough matchups for teams. (i.e. I hope Hernandez is back)
There is a difference between "sprain" and "tear". From stockton.edu: (http://www.stockton.edu/ospreys/ComInjuries/MCLSprain.htm) Initial reports said that he strained his knee, and that he would be out 1-2 weeks (which seems to correspond with the above information 10-14 days, assuming the strain isn't severe). From ESPN: (http://espn.go.com/blog/boston/new-england-patriots/post/_/id/4703453/recapping-patriots-injuries) EDIT: added links
Ocho + Palmer has a history of being useless vs. the Jets. Ocho + Brady is a work in progress, results to be determined over the next several games between the two teams.
Nah. From the University of California San Francisco Medical Center web site: "A minor, or grade 1, MCL tear can take from a few days to a week and a half to heal sufficiently for you to return to normal activities, including sports." http://www.ucsfhealth.org/conditions/mcl_tear/treatment.html Also - the term "sprain" or "strain" or "pull" isn't a medical diagnosis. Damage to a muscle/tendon is always in the form of a tear which is normally graded 1,2 or 3.
