Since I don't want to copy and paste 3 post long posts every week, and so the person who puts the time into these actually gets hits on his website, I figured I might as well make a season long BGA thread where they will be linked each week.

If you don't know what they are, a guy named Bent from www.thejetsblog.com gives an in-depth analysis of each game, it's a long read but every Jets fan should read it.

Sundayjack said you have to like my thread.

    Week 1 vs. Dallas

    Week 7 vs. San Diego
    Week 9 @ Buffalo
    Week 10 vs. New England

Didn't realize Moore was directing the O-Line and how bad his game was & Baxter/Mangold gap was huge as expected.

Thanks for posting, I was wondering if someone would take that over after WSW went all Bobby Fischer on us.

Yes, we all could see the OL struggled, but BGA puts more of the relative blame on Moore than Hunter as compared to those who have commented on the TGG boards. Interesting, and even one of the apparent Hunter miscues BGA points out might have really been Moore's fault.

BGA says a possible explanation is that Moore was calling the OL signals, but imo that seems like a reach for explaining a poor game by a solid vet. Imo we will want to see how Moore does over the next few, particularly when Mangold gets back. The concern with Moore has to be that at some point he will drop off due to age. At 31 he should still have some years left in him, but whether and when he passes his peak may be an issue sooner than later.

Interesting also was the discussion of the DL and the LB's in terms of blame for poor run D. BGA essentially said all the DL players who played graded out at least at good, except Wilkerson and Dixon. Neither of whom had terrible games, putting blame for lack of production by the front seven clearly on the LB's. I had not noticed the CS did not put Westerman in after that play he whiffed on a tackle in the first half. But more blame appears to be on Harris, Scott and Thomas. I don't know if it was a mere oversight, but there was no mention made of Pace at all. Had to be, right? I was expecting big things from an injury free Pace this year, but imo the Oakland game was not one he would point to as evidence of that, either.

I agree with BGA about Smith, that he was not one of the worst Jets out ther by any measure, and gets blamed too much. He had a decent game.

"Sanchez MUST do a better job of seeing the whole field, because nearly all of the interceptions he’s thrown have been made by someone other than the person covering his man."

Didn't realize that one myself. I knew it happened sometimes but never bothered to sit down & think on % it happens.
