The Chargers were #1 in both offense and defense last year.

This is a new year where teams like Washington and the Bills are 2-0. Crazy town.

The original premise of this thread sucks balls.

The Jets Oline is scary bad right now and the Jets running game is shit to.

Those were 2 of the hallmarks that led the Jets to the AFCG, not to mention, Sanchez is still stupid at times.

If the Jets do not fix that craptastic line they are not going as far in the playoffs. Well that is if Sanchez is still upright at the end of the season.

Did I mention that the op is fucking stupid?

Fuck the Patriots and their style points, we beat them just a few months ago when it matters and currently have the same record, so we are above them.

Let them blow out shit teams all year and then lose early in the playoffs again like they have been for a while now.

no, the Steelers aren't AFC champs this year because there is no AFC Champion yet. they are last years Champion and are defending it. big difference between the two.

not to mention your position on the Steelers is inconsistent with your position on the Pats, inherently revealing the lack of sense in your position. otherwise the Pats are the defending AFC East champs and you should have no problem giving that to them until proven otherwise, thus since that is the criteria you are using the Pats are better and what happens in the playoffs only matters come playoff time, not when discussing who is better now. try to keep up with your own arguments.

enjoy living in the past, I'll stay here in the present with rational folks.

They give the Bills a higher percentage of the number one overall seed than the Patriots...

    Uhh.... NO.

The best team in AFC (or NFL for that matter) resides in Foxboro as of now.

Thank you! Seriously, as others have noted it's week two. It's a little early to know how this year will develop.

new england's offense is a continuation from the end of last year. well, except against us.

their defense is still giving up a shitload of yards and points. they had that goal line stand today (which was just a stupid playcall and poor effort by tolbert), but if not for that they would have given up 30+ points after giving up 24 to the dolphins of all teams. take a look at how henne looked today. that's the real chad henne. pats d make him look good

how the fuck do they look unstoppable? they gave up an atrocious amount of yards to the dolphins and chargers. just because tony sparano and that imbecile norv turner dont know how to pressure brady doesnt make the patriots 'unstoppable.'

No inconsistency at all. First of all, what are you a pats fan? Pats are the defending AFC East Champs but that, unlike a conference title, does not make them better because the fact that we beat them in the playoffs outweighs their division title. I'm not even saying that being better means we will win the division. I hope we do...but what being better means is that when we see them in January we WILL beat them because we're built for that month and the pats are not.

Of and yes the Steelers are the defending conference champs. Teams get called that all the time. If you watch a packers game this year you'll hear the announcers call them the "defending superbowl champions." You are the champs until you lose the title.

The Patriots may have surrendered a lot of yards, but at no point in either game were they in danger of falling behind. They controlled both matchups regardless of any deficiencies in their play.
