San Diego's 2003 season always bothered me. I know AJ Smith is a monster douchebag, but who's responsibility was it to bang the table and say, "Hey, I know we've given him three years, but this Brees kid is the real deal. Draft Larry Fitzgerald." I think it's usually the offensive coordinator, but I'd imagine the quarterbacks coach might be a little more vocal if he was the head coach's son. I think it's more than likely that Schotty was totally in favor of drafting Rivers because he had no idea what Drew Brees was capable of. And there's the rub. I don't think Schotty has ever really been conscious of what his quarterbacks' capabilities are. My two cents. Good to see you posting again, Bradway.
Actually I am liking Schotty a lot this game. The pass at the end of 1st quarter was a keeper - an easy throw that goes long yard.
Why the single back set when Connor is healthy and why not get Hunter some help with perhaps a second TE on that side now and then..
No. Sanchez throwing picks will cost us the game. This guy needs to learn to play in the regular season or needs a ticket out of town. The defense can't be there 16 times in a row to bail his ass out.
No argument out of me on that one. I'm wondering how many minutes per game this defense has in it before it starts to break down. We ain't the youngest bunch.
Sanchez is throwing picks because he has no confidence in his O line. Blame the short pre-season if you like, but do not blame the coaching or players
Certainly no one can complain about the playcalling this game, right? Any problems were ones of execution, particularly poor OL play.
Only thing I can see complaining about is not leaving someone in to help hunter. That shouldn't be a necessity though as hunter should be able to hold a block.
I think Schotty is very inconsistent. Has flashes of looking like an OC genius and other times looks like he faxed his playbook to the DC of the opposing team the night before. I can't wait for Schotty to leave this team...
