I'm not guaranteeing a win but I'm saying that the JAGUARS as a team do have a solid chance of taking down the Titans of New York. Last I checked football was a team effort.
Luke McCown is your qb right? All these jag fans (all 7) talk about Sanchez will lose the game for us no doubt. Well I dont hear anything about McCown, on those 3rd and longs is McCown gonna get the best of our defense, or will he be prone to mistakes? I guess we will have to find out.
is the newspaper in jacksonville really called "The Jacksonville Paper," or does he not know what it is?
Oh wow you are in fact quite the special individual for bringing up a post over 4 years ago pertaining to some video game on a random MB. Then to attempt to insult my kid as if I'm really going to cry over that.
Trap games don't happen in week 2. That's hysterical. Luke fucking McCown isn't going to beat up on a Rex Ryan defense. If Lewis is out for this game, expect to lose by 10 or more.
I am not saying that McCown is a Manning type player cause he's not but i believe he can effective act as a game manager and play to our strengths which is running the ball and short to intermediate passes taking advantage of all the exotic blitz packages Jets like to run since your pass rush is the more weaker of the area for your defense.
You're right. Jets fans are extremely confident we are going to win this game. So far, you've done nothing but bitch that we are over confident. You want respect? Give us a reason. Argue your teams case. Why should we fear the jags? Your defense scares no one, you cut your best qb, lewis is your best weapon against us and he's hurt if he plays. Based on what I see, if we stop stop mjd and hit Holmes on quick slants and crossing routes, while working plax on he outside, regardless of our running game we walk away winners. In other words, unless we lose the turnover battle by two or more, I expect a jets win.
It's always sigh when teams with great receivers (White, A & C Johnson, Fitzgerald, etc) say their guy will be the one to finally expose Revis and then it never happens. But saying Mike Thomas is going to be the one to do it has to be one of the funniest things I've ever read.
As we discussed last year, by definition, a trap game requires a team be looking past it's current opponent to it's next one. Why the he'll would we look past the jags to focus on the raiders? It's not like the raiders are world beaters, he'll they aren't a division opponent either. No reason to look past this game to next week. Jags fan grasping at straws with this poor argument
The Jaguars are a trap game because we are trap-looking ahead at the Raiders and really looking ahead 2 weeks to the Ravens game, which is also a trap game because we play the Patriots the week after that.
Jaguars receivers > Revis >Andre Johnson > Calvin Johnson > Larry Fitz > Dez Bryant > every one else. They just don't get the respect they deserve so no ones knows about them. Maybe when they get moved to LA.
The Jets offense relies on their running game in order to proficiently pass, when your 2 components, the pass and the run are working, your offense is fun to watch I'll admit. But you are facing a team 2nd in run defense that shut down the best RB arguably in the league and if not for a fluke 80 yard play we'd be 8th in pass defense. Sure Titans aren't known for their passing but they are known for their running game and it got shut down. It's not a matter of whether or not you will simply roll over us. It's a matter of if you can run on their D and if you can stop their running game. To be honest I'm excited to see the game as I think it'll be a damn good game. My whole point is that I'm not trying to be the bad guy, I just want you guys to take us a tad more seriously. Again had MJD not gotten hurt we'd have been in the playoffs last year and in the off-season we only got better. Some argue Garrard was our best QB but he himself admits he wasn't on top of his game this season and pre-season showed his terrible performance.
