Okay, humor me here, I didn't spend a lot of time on the preseason game, but does anyone remember seeing Sanchez get his bell rung during the first or second preseason game? The reason I ask, is that after hearing yesterday that Sanchez was tested for a concussion, and visibly turned away from camera lights postgame, it occurred to me that he has looked kind of... off since very the beginning of the Giants preseason game. He looked flushed and glassy-eyed the few times I got a look at him, and even my chick noticed it and said he looked like someone had just told him some bad news. Is it possible that he could have gotten his head whacked sometime in the preseason and didn't tell anyone about it? Because he looked uncharacteristically shitty during that same span of time.
Watching NFL Replay last night, which cuts out most of the crap plays, Sanchez looked pretty good Sunday Night. Made some great throws. Of course had some poor throws and bad decisions too, but I don't think there is anything wrong with him.
They had him tested for a concussion. http://www.nypost.com/p/sports/jets..._YYlMqYPWLogIvZlioiQrLP?CMP=OTC-rss&FEEDNAME=
Maybe it happened after the coach smacked him in the helmet after Folk made the field goal Sanchez didn't want to watch.
I've heard people say things about his postgame presser, but I watched it myself, and he didn't look like he was avoiding the lights or anything. He just looked like the same guy I've been watching for 3 years. Sure, he looks lost or glassy-eyed at times, but I think that's just him.
He's not even questionable on today's injury list, so it's all good. Rex: "No concern. I was with him for four hours on Monday, and he was fine."
I personally thought that the pressure of winning on 9/11 was pretty strong. Even Rex said the game was emotionally draining at his press conf. Maybe Sanchez didn't sleep much the night before?
When he looked glassy eyed was he hanging with Santonio? I may have a different explanation one that is more logical.
My sister has a small crush on Sanchez, and she texted me during Sunday night's game, "If Mark starts to cry, then I'll start crying too." Point being, I guess she also noticed something about his eyes being glassy or watery or something abnormal.
