Banta-Cain won't help you at all, what can he possibly bring to the table that you do not already have, and can already do better than he is even capable.

If Turner is on the roster, what is the point of keeping Payne...a gunner isn't that important that he must be kept on the roster despite being out an extended period of time.
I don't think the Jets can cut him because of his injury without coming to an i jury settlement. Maybe the CS sees something in him aside from his abilities as a gunner. Maybe they just don't want another team to take him a la McIntyre and Bellore or like Cumberland last season.
