Kinda feel the same way. But Dallas is for real. Colemen had a sack today. And Lowery had a pick. Crazy
Jacksonville doesn't have the receivers the Cowboys do. Throw in Whitten and and that's an impressive group. No way they can fling it around like Dallas did. Romo was impressive up till he became Romo-esque again.
yeah we thought we were going to own the cowboys but the cowboys aren't the jags. -dware is one of the best pass rushers in the game -Tony Romo as much of a choke artist as he is, puts up pro bowl QB numbers in the reg season -they have two really good receivers and one of the best tight ends in football the jags...... have a bunch of JAGs. and maurice jones drew.
they had 163 yards on the ground today against the titans, but the also ran the ball 47 times. shows how much faith they have in their QB
This is a game where if we win by last second heroics I would be disappointed. At least the cowboys are a good/decent team, but if we struggle against the jags we should be ashamed of ourselves. I hope Sanchez have another 300+ game a few tds and no ints. I hope shonne Greene gets his groove back and have a good game. Our defense should punch them in the mouth and give up no more than 3 points the most.
I managed to watch a lot of Jags-Titans at the sports bar today. The two Jets alumni in the secondary were great, actually. I guess it's not hard against Hasselbeck when Chris Johnson's basically out of the game, but they did do very well.
I want to see us come out next week an impose our will against the Jags defense. I want to see the OL bounce back with a stellar game and watch Shonn Greene running up and down the field next week. We need to get back to ground and pound. We aren't going to win 12 games this year with Sanchez dropping back 48 times a game. I love Mark, and he proved that he is ready to fling it when needed last night, but I want to limit him to 30-35 passes a week and get around 30-40 runs a game in. Thats how we break the big one in the 4th quarter by wearing down the defense over the course of the game.
Coleman is good for a sack every few weeks, and that's pretty much it. And like someone else mentioned, Lowery had that interception with ease. I'm not worried about the Jags (on paper), at all. Then again, we are the Jets, and things are never easy. I expect a W though.
Besides two bad plays by Mark, he was throwing bullets on the numbers everywhere. Fuck your pessimistic self.
The strategy going into this game is to stop MJD and force Luke McCown to beat us on 3rd and longs - which I don't think he will.
