On Offense: Plaxico Burress. TD catch, and nice crippling block on Jenkins. On Defense: Darrelle Revis. Took Bryant out of the game (as per usual), key interception to help ice the game. On Special Teams: Joe fucking McKnight. The blocked kick heard around the world.
I don't Like MB's balls, but... Offense: Mark fucking Sanchez. This is year three and he looked good in a game were we had to win on his arm. Defense: Revis of cuorse. ST: Mcknight was a game changer, but I'll give mine to folk for sticking a dagger in his former team from 50+. Now stay consistant.
Offense: LT by far... he made it posible Defense: Revis ST: Mike Westhoff 34%, McKnight 33%, Folk 33% For the entire JETS TEAM: ROMO
Cromartie "gave up" two TD's. But if it isn't for two amazing catches, Cro is in this conversation too. He had great coverage on both plays. Now about Wayne Hunter... sheesh.
MB has balls to give? I thought he was already missing one. Offense: Tomlinson/Burress/Sanchez Defense: Revis/Scott Special Teams: Westhoff/McKnight/Folk/Trufant
Yeah, I saw a bit of Cro-bashing in the game thread, but he was alright. He was in good position on those plays...sometimes shit just happens. For a #2 CB, he's sufficient.
Those were 2 great plays, but we pay him to be better than a sufficient #2 CB. He's just frustrating with his physical ability.
I think you have to give a special mention to Keller (8!) who catches finally got this offense going after a almost compete first half disaster
That almost made me not mention him, but he set the tone early on defense. First possession sucked, but he made some plays in the 1st half.
That's a good point, but realistically, players are paid for how much the team needs them, not how good they are (there's a bit of a difference there). He's tall and lanky, but I wouldn't really say he's strong or physical, relatively speaking. Man, I wish he made that play against Austin, but if it's those kind of plays by those standards of WRs to score on him, then I can sorta live with it. It's when he just flat out gets beat that aggravates me, and luckily we didn't see much of that tonight.
all these guys deserve credit: LT, Joe McKnight, Nick Folk, Dustin Keller, bryan thomas, revis, bart scott, plax on that catch.
Plexico Burress Should be going back to jail for murdering Jenkins on that play... That was a fucking awesome hit... I think Mark Brunell deserves a little nod for making sure the laces were out...
guys who sucked balls: Cromartie, wayne hunter (but going against dware is as rough as it gets), eric smith, mason guys who surprised me: kyle wilson
I agree on Cromartie. Two TDs on the stat sheet, both of which he couldn't have possibly covered better. IMO he's the best #2 in football. As for Hunter, the guy was constantly lined up against a raging man-beast who nobody in the League can stop consistently for an entire game. I give the guy a pass.
