Sweet find man. I was just about to post something similar. I knew the name rang a bell. The small neighborhood isn't the only connection either. There's a blogger with that name that wrote about the 33 miners that were rescued. FM 99.5 is a radio station down there by the same name. I'll ask my wife about any other significance and get back to you.
Heh. I have the DVDs and watched half of season two but will now blow through the rest simply because I don't need to get up and change disks.
Just bought all 3 seasons on DVD and find out now that it's on Netflix. Of course. I'm on season 3. This show is fucking awesome. Cranston does such a fucking job that I totally can't picture him in any other role.
Totally agree. A lot of my friends used to say they couldn't take the show seriously because of Malcolm in the Middle. Walter White is one of the best TV characters ever. I don't know if any other actor could pull it off either. Bryan Cranston is a genius.
Top Five Episodes (...so far): 1. Half Measures 2. 4 Days Out 3. Fly 4. One Minute 5. ...and the Bag's in the River Every episode of this show is fantastic, but these stood out to me. I really liked last week's episode too - the Gus flashback was awesome.
The other day doing zapping I landed on a random Malcom episode and I couldn't help but to think "what the fuck are you doing kid?! don't piss him off! are you nuts?!"
I feel like this is a COMPLETELY different actor. It's unbelievable. When I watched the first few episodes I couldn't help but think of Malcom, but when he lost the hair, that was did it. His whole look changed so drastically. And the character changed so much it seemed. It feels like the show gets better with each episode. Must watch TV.
WOW...what an episode...The "fight" was epic, something unexpected and probably was due a long time. Also, what an awesome moment with Gus. COME AT ME, BRO
My initial response to seeing Gus walk out amidst the hail of bullets was, "Wait a minute... this is too action-movie-silly for this show." But then I realized, of course, that Gus was the only guy they weren't kill. FUCKING GANGSTER.
I feel like Gus has a plan. His revenge plot still isn't finished... Don Salamanca is basically dead after the apparent stroke. His grief is eating away at him - Gus got the best of him and he knows it. Don Juan Bolsa got whacked at the end of "I See You", so that's two down. There's only one Don left: Don Eladio (aka Manny from Scarface). These last few episodes should be awesome.
