After weeks of hammering on them...weeks of posting nasty crap on their facebook...weeks of pound, pound, pound...I was notified, today, that they will offer the Sunday Ticket To-Go to Non-DirecTV customers!!!! It is $350, non-refundable, for the season...but hey spend the cash for the quality and availability! I can't begin to tell you how frustrated I get with the quality of those goofball internet feeds that present circa 1970 quality...but top each his own. Thought I'd throw it out there! http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/content/nflstonline/overview
thanks for the info. i'm actually considering this, if i can talk myself into the cost. anyone ever do the NFL Rewind? i'm thinking of that as well.
Haven't done the rewind...but I'll tell you. This is a good deal...even though it is a bit expensive. I paid for the NFL.com pre-season package and the quality was as good as and in some cases BETTER than on the TV. Soooooooo...for those that can afford it I say go for it! Sadly, they do recognize blackout rules so, in my case in CA, when they come to play Oakland it's a good bet I'll miss that one.
I did NFL Rewind last year. My only beef were the restrictions. Usually the games didn't go up until 12-24 hours after it ended.
right i knew the caveat was i'd be watching a game i already knew the outcome for. can you comment on the quality? would you do it again? thanks in advance. re: sunday ticket. i have Fios, i think that should be good enough for the stream. 25Mbps on the down..hopefully won't be a problem.
well sometimes it chokes on HD porn... so i'm concerned. in hindsight, prolly not hte best choice of words.
that's a fuckton for internet only access. maybe if you have an internet ready tv basically the same price as the directv version. but obviously its good to have the option. hmmm
The quality was excellent. Living in Jesusland I get KC, Dallas, St L and Denver, so it was nice to be able to see Jets games that didn't get broadcast nationally. For $40 for the season (playoffs extra, but those are national), I thought it was worth it. EDIT TO ADD: I must have watched both of the Jets over Pats wins a couple dozen times.
Just a heads up sunday ticket is also available for the ps3. I think its the same price , but might be a better option since its already hooked up to your tv.
Find a friend that subscribes to the ticket but does not have To-Go and work a deal. I have the ticket, but get To-Go so that my brother can use it, only caveat is that one computer at a time can be logged in to the account. Doing it this way, To-Go is only $50...
I just kept asking people on this board about it, only to be ignored or given false advice. I figured (like last year) that days before the season started they would put this out again. I had it saved in my favorites from last year so that I wouldn't lose it lol.
no shit?? Thank you brother. That is VERY helpful. and much better option. i think i'm gonna have to do it. my bro had the MLB package and he had it playing when he came to visit me. The quality is fantastic
This is the way I went, buddy of mine has the ticket but has no use for the TO-GO, paid him 100 bucks which help him out and saved me 250.00 dollars...
Hmm...i wonder..... it says directv subscribers can watch it from their ps3 free of charge. My friend has the sunday ticket package and doesn't even own a ps3. I wonder if you can use another person's login (as long as they don't use it) to view it? I know with the NBA package i used to give my friend the online streaming login/pw info because i would only watch it at home and we had no issues.
The thing is...those nights are nationally televised games and not regional. That is why the Ticket doesn't carry them.
