What I fully expect to see as a minimum a) A Strong and dominating defense particularly against the run b) Best shot down corner duo and improved nickel back take it to the next level c) Superior special teams play capitalizing on field position What I would like to see beyond that d) Ground and pound makes a statement e) Pass rush is improved f) Field kicker and punter are an asset not a liability What I hope to see as a pleasant surprise a) Mark Sanchez improvements and the passing team in rhythm b) Aggressive play calling in the offense What I better not see a) Stupid mistakes negating great gains in offense or defensive stands b) Trying to outsmart ourselves with complicated play calling c) Sluggish, dull and confused offense in the first half, having to come from behind in the second half Love the Jets....can't wait
Shot down makes me think that it was a clever typo that references the Jets and aerial attack and shot down yeah you get it.
I never really paid attention to why people on this board hate your fucking guts...now I know why. Oh, and if you're still taking suggestions on your name change, I think it should simply be "Sox Craves Cock"
Awesome, simply awesome. I will be more than excited, I will be proud and honored to remember our fallen heroes. Jets, do us proud.
Anyone know of any special events, performances etc. that will occur during the game to honor the victims and/or responders? I think I'm gonna bump some Edwin Starr, CCR, Rolling Stones before the game to get myself extra hyped. Time to crack open a Bud Select and tell the wife...leave me alone! Can't Wait! *sidenote: I agree with Joker 78. I'm nervous about the Cowgirls. Can we open against Buffalo or Jacksonville for once?
Thanks. Catching it with Rex and Sanchez on the big screen was pure luck. How did this Joker guy get banned so quick?
Im not sure there really is a "easy team" in the NFL but the Cowboys might be about as easy as you can get: Cowgirls were 6-10 last season They have had only 6 weeks to learn Rob's complicated D Starting CB's Terence Newman (groin) and Mike Jenkins (neck, knee) most likely will not play Romo will be seeing his first real action since his season ending injury and will be facing Rex's neverending blitzes The game is in NY.. In primetime.. on 9/11.. Roy Williams, Leonard Davis, Andre Gurode, Marion Barber and Marc Colombo are long gone Bill Nagy, Phil Costa and Tyron Smith, with a combined one year of experience and one career start, are new starters to the offensive line They don't look like a Super Bowl team. It looks like one in the process of rebuilding, and at least a year or two from contending.. this sounds like to perfet opener to me... now all we gotta do is win! [
I agree with a lot you are saying but I think you are downplaying their offense. Yeah their o-line looks pretty weak and inexperienced but Romo is still a top qb and Dez, Miles Austin, Felix Jones and especially Witten are some damn good weapons. They better bring their A-game in all aspects of the game if they want to win
