Guys that are totally useless to this years team production that will have a spot: MTV, Berning, Cook, Mcintyre

Special teams is not a real contribution imo. Don't have one scrub to run and block a few times a game? Throw in a different one.

I think the four definite cuts we're looking at are T. Wilson, Trufant, and Posey. I think Maybin isn't a sure thing, but he's close. The next two cuts will be rather hard, but they'll have to come from a pool that includes:

    Kroul
    Felix
    Gilbert
    Cook
    Tevaseu

I think this depends on who's eligible for the practice squad.

They are certainly waiting, along with everybody else, for the last minute to make the final cuts.

Lol Im glad you are not part of our CS. You can't just throw in any player on ST.

And if Cook, Mcintyre or MTV make the team they will most definitely get some burn.

Cook had the game saving PD in the Steelers game. The CS trusts him

We should also consider cuttin Kruoll. having 2 projects on you OL is not going to get you a SB. Ducauss should move back to RG and be the only project. Sit him out this season. Cut Joe McKnight and get a couple of veteran OLs in here. I can see us picking up a veteran QB, WR and a DB. Good by DB Tracy Wilson. No way we cut Cole

MTV was on the practice squad most of the year until the end, and Gilbert was a late addition too, right?

Also, Howard Green was here shortly after Jenkins went out.

    Your number's probably right though

I hope the coaching staff decides to stash Logan Payne on the IR. Bring in someone that can actually contribute early on.

Obviously you can't throw in any guy in random spots but there are a lot of different options to do the same thing on any team. If you lose the best guy at his given ST task you can throw in the next best guy who's lying around and he'll do fine if not quite as well.

MTV is totally redundant with our young deep DL. Mcintyre come on we have more LB's than we know what to do with what does he add? Cook is just an extra name padding the less than all-star safety position.

Im pretty sure Green wasnt on the team to start the season. was MTV on the practice squad? As corny as this sounds Im pretty sure I remember seeing him on the roster in madden.

And we forgot one player..... Gholston!!!!

So we know that the CS is atleast keeping 8 d-lineman possibly 9

Green was signed after Jenkins went down and then released a few weeks after.

MTV was on the practice squad, but might've still been on Madden...and you're right, I forgot Gholston was listed as a DL last year.

Wasn't Gholston still being considered a OLB?

No we don't... we kept so many last year because we had Jenkins and Ellis who were old and we had a bunch of scurbs to back them up.
This year the oldest guy is Pouha and we have some good talent both starting and as backups.

Unless Rex has a major crush on them one between MTV and Gilbert (more likely to be Gilbert) will be cut.

Last year he already was a DE.

Do you understand what depth is?

Jamaal Westerman is the only surefire backup OLB on this roster. Bryan Thomas and Calvin Pace are both aging vets. They could go down at any moment.

Garrett McIntyre provides two things: depth at OLB and special teams play.

Aaron Maybin is the more physically gifted player, but he can't play specials.

I'd like to keep both because we're so thin at the position...

Dwight Lowery and Brodney Pool will be fine backups behind Eric Smith and Jimmy Leonhard, Emanuel Cook is expendable. His special teams value may keep him on this team though.

Julian Posey, Martin Tevaseu, Isaiah Trufant, and Tracy Wilson should get canned. They are meaningless players on this roster.

I'd take Robby Felix over Matt Kroul, because Felix is more versatile and he's more experienced.

Mauga, Bellore, Berning are our best options for depth. Westerman, where was he?
Felix should stay, nothing but a hold down the fort kind of guy and he did that well.
