How about this guy: Eagles waived C/G Mike McGlynn. McGlynn held his own as a run blocker while filling in for Jason Jackson last season. He was expected to compete for a starting interior job at the beginning of camp, but was quickly passes by rookie and OL coach Howard Mudd favorite Jason Kelce. Sep 3 - 4:08 PM
All the reasons they gave why he was cut are true here too, so no... Patriots waived WR Brandon Tate. A third-round pick in 2009, Tate has struggled as a receiver and saw his value on special teams diminished by the NFL's new kickoff rules. There's no doubt Tate has deep-threat ability (he averaged 18 yards on his 24 catches last season), but unless he significantly improves his route-running, he'll never get enough playing time to be a fantasy asset.
AdamSchefter Adam Schefter Dolphins cut Will Allen. JasonLaCanfora Jason La Canfora Raiders release CBs Lito Sheppard and Walter McFadden
60 year old Lito Sheppard was cut by the Raiders...that in itself says a lot. As was Larry Johnson by Miami...think how important both of them were only a couple of years ago.
Sheppard's younger than Donald Strickland, Bart Scott, Bryan Thomas, and Calvin Pace. ...should we cut all of those guys?
oh shit. Will "Dolphins Fans Say I'm Better Than Revis" Allen and Lito "can't cover a wall" Sheppard.
No one else is gonna know who the fuck this is, but the Falcons waived DE Emmanuel Stephens. He really impressed me this preseason, he was getting doubled teamed at times, even if it were by second teamers. He's a former OLB with good size and experience in the SEC. Probably won't happen with what the Jets have at OLB now, but I think some team should give him a shot in that same role...
I haven't read thru all the posts, so I may be repeating : Ugo Chinasa DE/OLB.......with our depth now at OLB (McIntyre) I doubt we look at him. I really like Chinasa's upside. Nate Williams S........Underrated Safety, better than Cook IMO. Mardy Gilyard WR.........could be our #5 WR. Adam Terry, OT.......solid backup. Keith Williams, G.... Bill C player.
I'd take Ajirotutu over Gilyard. He's actually shown something as a deep threat in this league - for some reason, things didn't work out for Gilyard. I wouldn't be upset if he ended up here though.
