A few guys who stand out to me that the Jets could look at are QB Kellen Clemens - Obvious here. With McElroy's injury, Jets have 2 QBs. Clemens might be better than Brunell, and he already knows the system. OL Stanley Daniels - With Ducasse's struggles, we could use another OL. Daniels has been here before, and is apparently a Callahan favorite. TE Lee Smith - Patriots 5th round pick is supposedly a really good blocker. At 6'6, 266 pounds, he could compete for one of the tight end jobs. S Brandon Meriweather - A big name, I'm not a huge fan of his game, but our safety play has some questions. Meriweather has talent, and Rex might be able to get it out of him.
Its been mentioned in another thread, but Seyi Ajirotutu, WR cut from San Diego that I think is miles ahead of P. Turner and an injured Payne.
Vernon Gholston would be a great addition. I know he hasn't shown much over the past few years, but he was a beast coming out (this team has had great success with Ohio State products in Nick Mangold and Santonio Holmes) and I'm sure if anyone can get it out of him, it will be Rex Ryan. He really didn't get a fair chance with his former teams. Why not take a flier on a freakish athlete like Gholston? He could be our Terrell Suggs if he's coached right. It's the low risk, high reward kind of signing that could push this team over the top. He could be the pass rusher this team has been looking for since 2008.
Kellen Clemens - Obvious reasons, depending on how much McElroy will have to sit. Adam Terry, OL, Titans - Swing tackle Seyi Ajirotutu, WR, Chargers - 5th WR with good talent... in case someone gets hurt.
Def take a look at Meriweather. If the Pats are gonna take our cast-offs, we should take a look at theirs. What about taking a look at Gurode or Artis Hicks for line depth?
Id deff take a look at meriweather rex has proved he can coach these play when i wanna players and the upside would be great and im sure he wouldnt mind blitzing brady lol

Did Artis Hicks get cut? I heard the Skins were trying to trade him. Gurode is an interior lineman. We need a tackle. Adam Terry would be a decent depth pick up.
