Oh what a difference a year makes. Last year we kept Gholston who showed 1/100th of what I have seeing from Maybin in very limited action. Either we are way deeper in talent this year or the spirit of the Ghost is bringing Maybin bad karma. I think Maybin has showed me plenty in limited action. Hope we find him a spot.

 

I don't think there will be a run at Clemens so we'll have a couple of days to evaluate McElroy and then decide wether to bring back Clemens or not.

When your QB is 40 yrs old (or Pennington) you want to have another guy on the roster just in case your starter goes down.

 

Its not like we have a huge sample to go with. He might have had about 60 minutes of playing time. I didn't see him missing tackles. I saw him making plenty of plays and being around the football many times along with 2.5 sacks. Thats pretty impressive to have in one game, maybe a lil more than a game (70 mins)

 

Gholston was playing DE, Maybin is a DPR... of course Maybin will show you more! Can we separate the Maybin discussion from Gholston?

 

So its unreasonable to think that a guy who has been working with another team for TC, may not be able to just walk in and act like he never left, working with a bunch of new personel.

The system is still the same and he spent 4(?) seasons in it. Clemens knows the Jets system more than any QB not named Mark Sanchez

fair enough. I just didn't like the idea of Clemens eating up a roster spot. I should have stated my thoughts differently.
