    The latest, I believe:

    Landolt
    LaRocque
    McCaskill
    Campbell
    Clifford
    Taylor
    Jennings
    Jones
    Zinger
    Morgan
    Washington
    DePalma
    Willy
    Landor
    Canfield
    McKnight
    Satele

    that should make 62.

So I suppose now the Pats will sign DePalma and put him in the slot and he'll catch 10 balls for 132 yds and 2 TDs against us in week 5

I think they have their cap on slot type WRs at the moment. Woodhead, Welker, and Edleman have it covered for 2011.

They can never have enough scrappy white receivers up there.

The Rams just cut Mardy Gilyard loose. He'd be a nice option as a fifth receiver.

He hasn't shown anything as a receiver yet, but he has to be an upgrade over an injured Logan Payne and Patrick Turner.

I totally disagree about IRing McElroy. You're gonna waste the rest of his rookie season because he's gonna miss 2-3 weeks, when the season doesn't start for another week, so he'll only miss a game or two? If so, I'm glad you aren't making the decisions. McElroy has looked very promising. If Mark goes down with a season-ending injury, the season's over anyway. With Brunell being old and brittle, I'd have a lot more confidence in McElroy backing Brunell up and if need be, finishing out the season, than Willy or any QB the Jets could find on the scrap heap. If nothing else, they'd be developing him for the future. IRing McElroy makes zero sense.

Hayden's career isn't exactly soaring these days either.

Not sure where you heard 2-3 weeks, but he's likely to miss much more than that with a dislocated thumb that had surgery. Wouldn't be a big deal if it were his left, but it's on his throwing hand. It'll take him a while to grip the ball well.

I believe Manish Mehta said it would be somewhere along the lines of 6-8 weeks.

2-3 weeks is what was announced as the estimated time he'd miss. I saw it several places on the web. I agree about gripping the ball, but even if he misses 4-5 games, I still think he should be kept off of IR.

I saw 6-8 weeks on some site that I think was actually supposed to be time Logan Payne was out, so I think they misread it. My fault on that one. Manish said he's out indefinitely according to the coaches, but there are no plans for placing him on IR. I don't think they should IR him either, but I doubt he'll be back in 2-3 weeks. No way he could throw a ball reliably that quick.

UPDATE: The Jets have confirmed that McElroy underwent surgery today for a dislocated right thumb. Although he is out indefinitely, the team has no plans to place him on Injured Reserve at this time.

A source tells the Daily News that QB Greg McElroy underwent surgery on his right thumb today and will be out at least “several weeks.” The News first reported last night that the rookie quarterback suffered a dislocated thumb and a piece of bone had broken off after the dislocation

Soooo...to sum it up how are we looking? Can't believe they moved Lowry but I hope this new Guard pans into a solid backup. Definitely need the o-line depth.

Looks like you were right about the length of time he was gonna be out (and maybe even longer) as he has now been placed on IR.
