Week 1: Cowboys @ Jets, SNF 8:20pm- L (Much like last year we come out dead offensively, and lose a really ugly game we could/should have won by a field goal or less, mass panic ensues...) Week 2: Jags @ Jets, 1pm-W (....Until week 2 where we destroy the Jags) Week 3: Jets @ Raiders, 4:05pm-W (Al Davis still runs the team, but we may not win by 38 points again) Week 4: Jets @ Ravens, SNF 8:20pm- W (We are better than the Ravens, it is time we show everyone else that) Week 5: Jets @ Patriots, 4:15pm- W (I see us shocking everyone again by going into New England and winning for the 2nd time in a row, but Belichick will come back with a Vengeance in week 10) Week 6: Dolphins @ Jets, MNF 8:30pm-W (Miami isn't beating us at home again) Week 7: Chargers @ Jets, 1pm- L (Nate Kaeding is redeemed when the chargers win by a field goal Week 8: BYE (Win win situation ) Week 9: Jets @ Bills, 1pm-W (It's the Bills) Week 10: Pats @ Jets, SNF 8:20pm-L (I just see Belichick striking back here with a new game plan and the Patriots edge out a close game) Week 11: Jets @ Broncos, Thursday 8:20pm-W (If Orton plays, we win by 14; if Tebow plays we win by 24) Week 12: Bills @ Jets, 1pm-W (see week 9) Week 13: Jets @ Redskins, 1pm-W (Grossman or Beck vs our D? Ha. ) Week 14: Chiefs @ Jets, 1pm-W (overrated team, Cassel can't perform against elite Defenses; run game won't be working for them) Week 15: Jets @ Eagles, 4:15pm-L (We lose a close game, much like the Bears game last season, I see us covering everyone except Michael Vick who will convert 3rd down after 3rd down with his legs. Lesean McCoy coming out of the backfield on screens for big gains will annoy us to death) Week 16: Giants @ Jets, Saturday 1pm-W (Giants consummate their annual second half collapse by getting "Rexecuted" and not knocked out of playoff contention by their fellow tenants the New York Jets in disgraceful fashion, Eli throws 3 picks) Week 17: Jets @ Dolphins, 1pm-W (We clinch the division on our second home field in Miami, gatorade baths and division champ caps for all!) 12-4 Division Champs edge out tie break with Patriots who also finish 12-4 2nd seed in playoffs (Pitt #1 13-3) 3 seed Chargers beat 6 seed Ravens (Ravens shows its age when Rivers throws for 3td 300 yes) We beat 3 seed San Diego but surprisingly Nate Kaeding makes every field goal attempt. 5 seed Pats beat 4 seed Texans, then go on to beat the Steelers... again. setting up... Patriots at Jets for the 2012 AFC CHAMPIONSHIP FOOTBALL APOCALYPSE Jets win Tom Brady consoles a crying wes welker AGAIN Belichick kisses Rex's feet instead of shaking his hand Jets over Falcons in Super Bowl 46 The same matchup that would have been in the super bowl if we didn't choke in 1998.
Right back at ya. ....and there is a W by the Broncos. That stands for "win." I think they either lose one of the Miami games, or that Raiders game. And BTW... It's not like I don't WANT the Jets to go undefeated... or 12-4 or better... but realistically, I haven't seen much yet that gives me that feeling of "OH MY FUCK WE ARE GOING ALL THE WAY!" So don't be a douche just because I am trying to be realistic.
Week 1 vs. Dallas (SNF) - L - Close game, but I think Dallas comes back strong after their hugely disappointing season last year. Week 2 vs. Jacksonville - W - Solid win, by at minimum 10 pts. It's all dependent on stopping MJD. Week 3 @ Oakland - W - Closer game than most might expect. Week 4 @ Baltimore (SNF) - W - Obviously Rex wants to win every game, but I think he'll want this one badly after last year's embarrassing offense in the opener. Flacco didn't play great in last year's game, and I think he'll be about about the same, if not worse. That said, still a close game, winning by one score. Week 5 @ New England - L - It's very likely we'll see another split, so it's got to be more likely to win at home. Won't be anything like the MNF blowout, though. Week 6 vs. Miami (MNF) - W - The last few Miami games have been close. This should be no exception. Jets pull it out. Week 7 vs. San Diego - L - Chargers have some TALL receivers. No chance for us... Week 9 @ Buffalo - W - Not much to say, but I don't think these will be the blowouts we saw last year. Week 10 vs. New England (SNF) - W - Won't be as much of a dominating performance as the playoffs, but Jets pull this one out, and not by much. Week 11 @ Denver (TNF) - W - Convincing, solid win. Week 12 vs. Buffalo - W - Ditto Week 13 @ Washington - W - Ditto Week 14 vs. Kansas City - W - Don't think Cassel will play nearly as well as he did last year. Losing Weiss could be big for him, and he hasn't looked that great in the preseason (may or may not mean anything). I could see this being close or winning by 2-3 scores. Week 15 @ Philadelphia - L - I think we contain Vick to make his running somewhat of a nonfactor, but the Eagles are still good without his scrambles. Week 16 vs. NYG (12/24) - L - I think the Giants will be much better than most people seem to be predicting, still competing for the division. This is honestly a coin flip for me. Week 17 @ Miami - W - Again, probably a close game. Final Record - 11-5 I think the Patriots won't go any higher than 12-4, so the division is winnable.
