that was an easy one. Jarron Gilbert, Matthias Berning, Isaiah Trufant, Tracy Wilson, Matt Kroul should be some more easy ones....then we've got to decide where our allegiances really lie.

Manish says they're planning on keeping Berning.. pretty surprising.. TheJetsStream Manish Mehta I've been told the #Jets plan as of right now is to keep LB Matthias Berning, who was a standout last night vs. Eagles. #nyj
Some thoughts: I think we IR Turner, I know we've heard Rex and Co. say they don't want to, but 10-12 weeks is a bit steep to keep a backup on the roster injured. This opens up a spot to bring in a veteran backup O-lineman. I think Kroul gets the ax, but Felix makes it because of his ability to play center. I wouldn't be surprised if we see Pool or Westerman cut. I know Westerman is a hometown kid and is the rex-anointed DPR (designated pass rusher) but he simply has not shown much in past years and this preseason, if they see more potential in the likes of McIntyre and Maybin that's fine with me.
WW85, always like reading your heady takes on the prospects, but while McIntyre's willing, it seems he's often "chasing" the ball from behind the play. My question: is he simply just maybe too slow?..Thoughts? (maybe that first pre-season game vs. the Texans soured me on him). Looking at that game, he struck me as a bright 'read' albeit a liability in crossing-pattern TE/HB pattern coverage...meaning, if the 'rush' doesn't get into the opposing QB's grill, the WR's clearing space downfield and exposing him against a faster checkoff receiver, i.e turning a 5-yd. east-west pass into something with YAC to work with...with #50 "chasing" ... again, just saying.... simply put: NFL speed?
I wonder how Sanchez has taken the news that his boyfriend got cut. Assuming McKnight doesn't go to the PS.
He can take some pointers from Revis and learn how to properly use him. Revis can get Geiger to show Sanchez/Scotty how to wash and iron his clothes, buy groceries and be Sanchez's bitch.
IMO, McIntyre if he makes the team, will be used as situational pass rusher. Mcintyre isn't fast, but he's quick and tenacious. Seems to be a smart hard worker that has paid his dues around the league and in the CFL.
The more I think about it, the more I like the idea of keeping just 4 WR and using Keller as the fifth WR
8 players can be put on the PS. There are 4 easy cuts to get it down to 58, but the rest aren't PS eligible, you have to cut them and either they get picked up or are out of a job. There are some more no brainers out there, but its tough to know who they want to bury on the depth chart so that they can keep them and develop them, and who is on the PS and who is gone completely
Logan Payne showed his ST abilities. Westhoff will go to bat for him. They might even IR him if his injury is enough to hide him on the IR for the year. But I think he's earned a spot.
Ill just post this in here as it has to do with the roster, ive never noticed before but more than one guy can have the same number during preseason? I thought i was going nuts last night, I saw Jennings playing defense, or did i see Posey on offense? Just wierd ...ive never noticed it before.
