a friend of mine does that did you know i led the nfl in sacks in 2031 lol i like recruiting cuz its harder than the game itself, its always funny to miss out on prospects u really wanted. except you can always beat that by getting people with you as their top school to commit week 1 by only spending 10 minutes on a scholarship offer and they commit instantly. Madden, NCAA, doesnt matter theyre all under EA's umbrella, something like this such as the most logical reason to tie the two games together shouldnt have been such a colossal fuckup
Mr.E get this shit. finally just powered through yr 1 in NCAA. just loaded the draft class. this time people like Andrew Luck and Trent Richardson arent even there. meanwhile people are overrated by 3-4 rds in there projection and kellen moore is down to rd 7 while other unprovens have rd 3-4 im thinking theres a problem where the draft class can only hold X amount of players at each position. luckily i saved before the players leaving also. going to re-do the draft class save and see if it turns out different. EDIT: i guess both of them miraculously decided to stay for their senior years
I just don't have the patience for it and never felt like putting in the effort to do it right. One thing from NCAA I would kill for in Madden though is the online team builder. I hate the team creation from 2001 that's still in Madden.
one thing I dont like is they took out switch position and editing the players weights and frame in madden. a good OLB you could switch to DE and in a 4-3 theyd beast out. just wish they had the position change aspect more highlighted in madden cause players switch positions all the time.
HOLY FUCKIN SHIT. like i said last year was hectic for me so i missed out on my usual amount of NCAA football. just watched some highlights and game film on him. hes exactly the kind of player we need and yes, lol he wont be a jet unfortunately. sidenote, ive whiffed on hyping up certain prospect. my biggest being Vince Young. but Ive called alot of peoples success I dont know if i ranted and raved about it on here but I told all my friends that the jets need to move heaven and hell and do whatever it takes to get Revis. most of my friends either didnt regard him that highly or werent aware of him. needless to say come draft day I sat there thinking , well hes going to be a steeler. when i saw us leapfrog them with the trade i was already jumping up and down going apeshit. i prolly wouldve broken my tv if we traded up and didnt draft revis. more often than not id like to say im right. but i also have had the occasional colossal whiff in projecting people. anyways what im getting at is I co-sign what you said completely. not only is this Burfict's physical ability downright mind blowing, his instincts are something i havent seen in a long time. at least from the film ive seen. EDIT: Do you know what hes like in coverage? from what i read hes struggled but has gotten better in zone last yr.
You can still change the positions, and this year the players are fully editable in franchise mode, including ratings. Some players will actually have their ratings go up just by changing position too.
i know u can edit ratings, but u cant touch their frame or build. and i never saw the position change option.
Position change is on the first screen where you edit name and number etc. Physical appearance can't be changed though, which does seem strange.
mustve overlooked it. cuz its always been on that screen. yeah not being able to edit the frame and build was always something i tinkered with if i thought players looked funny. have no idea why its been removed.
DRAFT CLASS IMPORT UPDATE turns out the projections change each time you load them. Kellen Moore is a perfect example, ive seen him projected at anything from 1st-7th even someone like Justin Blackmon goes down to the 3rd rd sometimes. so now im constantly reloading till i get somewhat realistic projections. there will always be exceptions so for those looking for the most realistic experience youll want to edit players before the end of the NCAA season. its too late for my first year but i will be doing SOME of this not going too overboard
I think the reason for this is because Madden wants you be able to draft sleepers. I'm sure their attributes are the same every time.
probably right either way ill prolly do post draft editing on some players but im sure it has to do with their potential ratings as far as the projected rounds go. cuz usually the highest potential a 4th rd pick gets is C unless its a K, TE, or FB ill sim a season and draft to look at overall ratings to see if its as ridiculous in some past years with players owning instantly or blowing cept with the new scouting system guess ill have to play through preseason in season 2
Question on Player Roles anyone know when and how you earn or lose these things. with all the talented players on our team it also seems odd the only Role Players are Brunell Tomlinson and Cromartie how do u edit these?
funny i scouted the first week it reveals some players negative and positive traits. blackmon had -carrying darron thomas had -play action there were some others but the scouting system is way better im sure the flaws will come in but its definitely a valiant attempt by EA so far
As always, I've started a franchise with David Carr as my starting quarterback. I don't like using the Jets in franchise mode, so I took the Carolina Panthers and traded away every single player on their roster for players rated under 70. ...after testing out franchise mode last night, I decided to start over and add quite a few UDFAs to my roster for pre-season (that way I won't get a bunch of shitty, fake players): LB Nick Bellore WR Jeff Maehl WR Dane Sanzenbacher OL Ryan Bartholomew OL Zach Hurd NT Ian Williams DB Jerrard Tarrant DB Deunta Williams DB DeAndre McDaniel LB Mark Herzlich QB Jerrod Johnson OL Alex Linnenkohl OL Justin Boren I signed a bunch of really old offensive linemen, so I'm hoping at least three of the OLs develop. This will be tough.
I love doing stuff like that. Trade away the star players for draft picks. Get as many 1st round choices as I can pile up.
