Agreed. Like Guiness, I'd hate to see him not make the roster, as someone will sign him immediately. Hopefully, if they do plan on cutting him, they will try to trade him and get something for him, even if it's a lower round conditional pick. I think the Panthers might be willing to trade for him, and there are probably several other teams that need help on the DL.
