Yeah. I mean, forget the attitude/demeanor aspect (although, I know it plays a role in this) -- Sanchez was very inaccurate.

My, as well as some others', concern this Offseason was the Offensive continuity as it specifically regarded Sanchez. Dropping 3 WRs (Braylon, Cotchery, Brad Smith) and replacing them with 3 new WRs (Plax, Mason, Kerley), despite their talent, probably makes things difficult for a young QB. He's not like Rodgers/Brady/Manning/Rivers where he can adjust seamlessly and even elevate their (the WRs') play.

I know it's just Preseason, and Sanchez was fairly accurate in the previous game, but I actually put some stock into the 3rd Preseason game because it's understood that the players put forth an effort and "try" in the 3rd game. So, seeing Sanchez throw wildly isn't very comforting. Having said that, I'm not worried, because I think he and the WRs will establish chemistry by Week 3 and then flourish going forward.

You guys are reading way too much into Sanchez. God, it's a preseason game. You sound like that "druggie" Cimini.

I don't understand this logic. Scoring is far more important than gaining yards. I don't see how they can be outplayed if the D is shutting them down even if they did allow them a lot of yards.

Seriously, I don't give a shit if we got outgained 400 to 1 in the first half (or in this case, THE game since starters came out). If the score was 7-3 then it's a win in the books.

so does anybody want to cut the starting defense, and play our #2's?

we can save a boat load of money, and not spend it on good players.

If you get outgained by that much you're ususually going to lose. It means the other team made a lot more plays than you did, it's just that you made yours at the right times. Its' hard to count on that over the long haul.

I partially agree, but only because our offense was dull. We had a few positive points, but the fact that we couldn't run or pass consistently has to be said.

Yeah but I wouldn't consider a team getting outplayed if that team is winning. Just my opinion.

Armando Salqueero called and said to leave Cimini alone. He's a fine reporter...

Dead on. One thing I did notice last night is after failing to run the ball well..it seems like something came over from the Colts that I have never seen before.

When the Colts run the ball..to stretch out the Defense, Manning on outside handoffs has to sprint to catch the running back running wide. No other team does that to that extent. Last night...I saw at least 3 times...Sanchez doing the same to catch Greene..and all of those plays finally went for decent yardage in the second half.

Some may say the Colts run attack sucks..which it does..but when a team stacks the front like teams do against us..its a nice twist.

Truthbtold I agree with the UniBomber.

Cimini has some points but the way he puts it down is not what I remember. I think the way he portrayed Wilkerson was probally the exaggeration that upsets me the most. "Jacobs swung back..." Seriously? He needs to quit adding fiction to his journalism.

The offense at home last year in the first half was awful. Does anyone know how many TD's they scored in the first half at home. I remember possibly 3 all season. Sanchez looked like crap last night as did most of the team. Its an issue because it was an issue last year, not because of last night. But to say he regressed is stupid. They were flat as was the Pats the other night. They looked bored and the Giants looked like they game planned a little more then we did. They need the work because they are headed for disaster if you ask me. Bottom line, we won't know anything till we kick off in TWELVE DAYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I see your point about the Wilkerson-Jacobs scuffle, but to me that's a very minor note. The most important aspect of the game last night was our complete inablility to move the ball ... particularly in the air, against a Giant secondary that's been shell shocked with injuries. Some of Sanchez's incompletions were so bad they looked highschoolish. And we weren't exactly the 72 Dophins on the ground either.

I honestly think he conveyed what happend ... or better yet, what didn't happen with our first unit offense. I probably wouldn't have used the word regression, but I defintely didn't see any PROGRESS either ... and I think that's what we were all expecting to see from Sanchez this preseason. Maybe we just need some more time to gel, but Rex, Schotty and Sanchez have alot of work to do before we meet the Cowboys.

the best part about his overreaction is the complete contrast it is to an article he wrote only a few days ago ...

Fuck this Cimini motherfucker. He makes it seem like we were lucky to fucking win. LOOK AT THE FUCKING SCORE 17-3. The Giants couldn't do dick with the ball offensively, except get some vanity yards and our second unit D even stopped 'em on the 1 yard line.

Admittedly our offense sucked balls last night, but I think that was due to the fact that the Giants pass rush really disrupted Sanchez. It's not about regression, I'll give credit to where the credit was due, the Giants front four put a shitload of pressure on us. Whatever, but fuck Cimini for making it seem like Sanchez reverted into rookie season Buffalo game Sanchez and was throwing picks like they were going out of style.

Why the hell does this guy write for the Jets if he's going to write all this GLOOM and DOOM shit? How come EVERY other team in the league has a guy who talks the team up and we're stuck with this dipshit?
