    12/22 - 145 Yds - 1 TD - 1 INT

    and

    8/16 - 64 Yds - 1 TD - 0 INT

    Which do you like better?

It's not that the article was inaccurate; rather, if you hadn't watched the game and you would have had absorbed this article the way Cimini has conveyed it, you'd think the Jets had done nothing right, that they're a bunch of delinquents, and that they scored an Offensive TD accidentally, which was set-up by a 'lucky' Kickoff Return from Cromartie.

Not until the end of the article does he give the Jets' Defense credit, and even then, he leads off with a negative comment.

Basically, people are bitching because Cimini constantly portrays the Jets in the most negative way possible, even when they're successful. Eventually, enough is enough.

because your defense is shit clearly. Especially when you're playing one of the better teams in the league. Everyone knows that 3 points is worse than 0.

As someone who KNOWS maths, I know that 3 is infinity worse than 0. What is 0 x infinity? I dont know but its less than 3.

That article is really terrible reporting, yes the Offense looked like crap but the D was (a whiffed tackle by Scott aside) excellent, and yet to read that you would think the whole team played badly.

As for the Wilkerson thing, jacobs was acting like an arse all game and it was only a matter of time before something kicked off - and which team rued that exchange the most? Hint: they wear blue jerseys

couldn't care less about wilkerson's blowup...if anything i'm happy it happened now. Rex is going to scream at him until he's sad and he's going to be way less likely to do it when it matters. Start the season already...we're going to crush lots of souls and it needs to happen now. NOW!!!

Who cares what Cimini says? Anybody who is not a fan of the Red Sox or Patriots who reads or watches anything on ESPN is a fool. Maybe NBC Sports will become an alternative next year if they are willing to spend the money.

Yes, maybe their starters could have scored on our 2s. How embarrassing that they didn't.

its a pretty lame job by cimini, basically going out of his way to be as negative as possible on a team that won the game convincingly, didn't suffer any injuries, looked good on D, looked good on OL and had a nice ST game. Obviously they were simply using the vanilla game plan and packages - not sure why cimini conveniently chose to overlook that.

Did he point out that the Giants long drive early in the 2nd half that ended with the goal line stand was their first string against the Jets 2nd string?

Sanchez really did look like a rookie out there. I keep waiting for this kid to develop a swagger ...maybe a bit of a mean streak...but he still looks like a wide-eyed freshman. Cut the shit already.

    Whatever happened to cool?

why would you do that if you're getting paid to spread irrationality and make haters feel smarter in their small minds while making fans riled up and ready to defend their team, boosting your view count and salary? We look damn good right now but we're not going to know for sure if we're just a top contender or the team to beat until a few weeks in. It's a little bit of both at the moment. If we take the division somehow everybody is going to be in a lot of trouble but obviously you can't be the team to beat faced with 3 road games to the SB.

For some reason everyone wants to concede the division already and over the last couple years I would've had to agree at this time...but I'm not so quick to roll over on that point just yet. The talent is clearly all there now finally, and I think it's going to just be a question of our ability to fire on all cylinders often enough to rack up all the needed w's against weaker while duking it out against tougher like everyone else Patriots included.

I will be very disappointed if we don't win the division this season. Shit...I'll be disappointed if this team doesn't win 12 games or more, Our defense is too good not to achieve those goals. I no longer respect the Patriots...I think that franchise jumped the shark and just doesn't know it yet. The Tom Brady decline begins in 4...3...2...

  18. Exactly. And he was a cheerleader for the Jets, he wouldn't be allowed in the town of Bristol.

Not to mention that hurricane Irene shut down this area and put everyone on edge for the past several days, including both team's players. We dont know what these players went through, who was affected, etc. THese guys had not practiced and many areas of NJ were devistated. It was mentioned that Mark Sanchez' family was in from California. Think he was nervous about their well being?
