for Game 4 of the preseason, and he will be. Love what I'm seeing out of this kid and it'll be fun to watch him play nearly a full game. Should be interesting to see if Rex sticks his Willy in on Thursday as well.
At this point, Brunell is nothing more than a coach to me. McElroy has a fantastic head on his shoulders. Pretty good footwork, too.
He won't make the roster, but it might be good late for evaluative purposes if Rex sticks his Willy in and tries to ram it up the Eagles ass.
An interesting question is... if Sanchez goes down in the season who should step in, Brunell or McElroy?
Well, you could make an argument either way for same game action, but if he were to miss significant time, I don't think there's any doubt it would be McElroy.
If Brunell gets any playing time in the pre-season. Brunell should be the #2. But I don't know his recovery status.
I agree fully, Brunell is too old, and McElroy looks great. I like this kid a lot and would enjoy watching him play if Sanchez goes down.
