All you gotta do is look at PFT, every Jets related story is FLOODED with haters, it's beautiful. You know you made it when people are threatened. Nobody hates the Bungles or the Texans.
That's not how it works. Once you win you will attract the "one and done" crowd. If you win again you'll get the "not a dynasty" crowd. If you win a third time the real unreasoning hate will start. Don't worry, it's easy to ignore.
And once you win three and then go five years without winning one you troll other teams message boards seeking attention.
I swear to God, the Jets are BY FAR the most hated team in the league right now. Every time I read the "Conversation" thread on a Jets-related article or GameDay, there are at least three times as many Jet haters as there are fans. At least 2/3 of them are Pat fans, and the other third consists of fans of other teams that can't even hold a candle to the Jets all-around. I have to wonder: Is all of this entirely because of Rex? Are fans really so offended by another team's coach making SB predictions and talking trash about other teams? I mean who gives a shit, really. Either way, I'd much rather be hated due to other teams fearing me than completely ignored due to being irrelevant in the championship discussion.
I like the fact that people hate us, but I really cannot stand the bandwagon fans that are jumping aboard, they don't know a thing about the heartbreak over the years and try to act like real fans because they know who revis and sanchez are.
If we win the Super Bowl this year (or make it) expect the biggest ratings ever that won't even be touched until the next few times we make it. LOL
Both are 100% accurate. I don't care so much the bandwagoners. The fans/posters that come to discuss like Steelcurtain and gopats respect the team and hope we lose to their team. I don't understand the (team x) fans that hate the Jets. I see people form Carolina and Arizon hate on the Jets and they aren't even in the same conference, let alone division. Dolfag fans have nothing to cheer about except Dan Marino so fuck them.:finssuck:
Unfortunately most of those fans got weeded out of their season tix at the new stadium. no pun :cough: intended :jets:
It hasn't been so hot so far to have been born a jet fan, but I've got a feeling it's going to be a lot better to die a jet fan. If people want to jump aboard for the ride it's their prerogative and it happens with every great team there has ever been. It's a good thing. I'll admit I have a lot more enthusiasm for being a Jet fan starting over the last few years. It used to be a lot harder to make long drives to go to the game to watch everybody swearing disgustedly and finding yourself doing the same all the time while you're praying for a Rex and Tannenbaum to come along someday, thinking it might not ever happen. Once we get the trophy it will have been worth all the anguish and more for me at least but I can't even imagine what it will mean to the guys that have been coming for 30+ years.
So true. Pats fans don't get what has gone wrong the past 5 years. About the thread, In my opinion Id rather be hated for winning Superbowls, but hey, this works. I dont mind being hated for being the only team that can MAN handle the Pats.
as for the real fan versus the bandwagon fan... it will be that much sweeter for the real fan when we finally pull it off... u now who you are and what youve been thru... and that is enuf for me... i get goosebumps just thinking about it... CAN'T WAIT!
I laugh at the criticism from the losers on the outside looking in. Yea, Rex is a loud mouth and cocky. People have the nerve to even say if he doesn't deliver on his "bold prediction", he should be fired. No way! Bottom line is, before Rex, we weren't even worth being talked about. We were the sloppy seconds Brett Favre chose. We didn't belong in the same sentence as the elite teams. Now, you can't have a SuperBowl prediction without considering us. We're relevant...and for that alone, Rex should be applauded. We're no longer a laughing stock and I actually look down on Giants fans now. We ARE the NY's team. Our coach is fat, loves toes and is arrogant, and our QB is inconsistent and doesn't know his pants size. But dammit, we have an identity for once. We run the ball, we make big plays in crunch time and on D we shut receivers down and knock QB's the fuck out! Say what you want, but when our D is on the field, you know we're coming for that ass *pause*. How you feel about us personally won't stop you from getting hit! I'm going to be so amped when the Jets finally when the big one w/ Rex. Screw the haters. Dolphins are nothing but gay sharks (real men don't play in aqua)! We beat the Pats when it counts and Buffalo may not even have a team in a year or two. Now let's go eat a damn snack!

Too many Jetfans on this site and in general worry about other fan's opinions. I could careless what other fans, the media, Fatcessa or any other says or thinks about the Jets....it doesn't mean crap. It's all just psychobabble bullshit. Just play the game and win...that's all that matters.
