I mean I go to Purchase now, but that's pretty much different from all the other SUNYs. The only one I understand people making fun of is Albany just because....Albany is a horrible place mostly because of SUNY Albany students.

But yeah, I don't understand why people have such pride about living in the Newburgh/Beacon area...

I find it simply amazing that like half of the threads on their forum about the jets, I have never seen a more insecure fan base in recent memory. It's quite obvious the people that make up that forum are Patriot fans going strong since 2001 and have never had to emotionally deal with the challenges of their team getting embarrassed and legitimately stood up to by another team in the division... nervous break downs ensue.

When the Patriots lose -- they still have their Sox -- when the Sox lose -- they have their Celtics -- when the Celtics lose -- they still have their Bruins

When they all lose they default back to their original teams -- Cowboys, Lakers, Red Wings, etc...
