Agreed... Lets see the '68 unis with the subtle changes in shoulder design and the kelly green instead of dark green jerseys. Although the image of the Namath Jets will always be white jerseys - white pants. Slight change in helmet logo also
I really liked the 80s unis... (but then again I was pretty high back then..lol) but really they are so much better looking then the blue yellow titans unis.. at least with the 80s unis they would still look like the Jets...

I hated those uniforms. They still remind me of being a little kid and watching Rich Kotite's clueless, bald head wandering our sideline, while we got annihilated by whomever we were playing that week.
80's jersey is awesome with the right tint of green current jerseys are bland and lame... worst in the league IMO oh and another thing the fucking logo sucks too even more bland and lame than the jerseys I have seen more exciting jerseys and logos on 1930's baseball teams Its 2011... not the 1960's we need to change it
I have been going to games since the 60's and have had season tickets for 30+ years. I have a number of jerseys from different eras. In my closet I have an Esiason jersey from the 90s hanging next to a Chrebet jersey from the early 2000s, a Revis jersey and a retro Namath jersey - all in green. The Esaison jersey looks like a joke next to these jerseys - like it belongs to some CFL team or the Oregon Ducks. It is an uggggglyyyyy green. The current jerseys look great and the retro Namath jersey just as good. The Jets unis are great. Enough with the retro. And exciting logos????? WTF??? Is the Yankees logo "exciting?" The Canadians? The Packers?? Give me classy and traditional over the new "exciting" logos any day.
I love that logo... wish we still had it. DOn't like the new one at all. The current jerseys are cool though. Wonder what will happen in 2012 when they're all destined to change.
There is nothing bad-ass about that at all. The only thing that helmet does is give me flashbacks to the 90's and us getting the tar beaten out of us on a weekly basis. What an ugly ass helmet, so damn ugly. The uniforms we have now are the uniforms of champions. They might not be the same shade of green and what-not, but we have such a clean classic look right now, and since we've brought them back in 98 we've been playing the best stretch of Jets football. > In fact, those of your who are complaining about our current uniforms being too plain, how can you look at those pictures and say that our current uniforms are more plain and generic than those ugly rags?
I think the perfect combo would be the newer shade of green (like the shade of green on this message board border) but with the old logo on the helmet from the 80s.
This logo with our current shade of green and lose the black face mask. The black face mask reminds me of Blair Thomas for some reason. I'm ok with our jerseys. I just h8 the logo. I don't ever want to see those Titans jerseys again.
Lets go with the 78-89 era uni's for a game. The 90-97 unis are a reminder of the jets always losing IMO. And yes screw the titans crap!!
I honestly think the uni's need an overall, that logo update and back to kelly would look great. And echoing a post above. White jersey/Green pants. No idea why they came out in the lame all white against the Texans.
I like the current unis. They have worked pretty well thus far. If we were going to have wear the 80's unis lets do it in conjunction with rich kotite fan appreciation day.
