To the poster complaining that it's always Pats signing Jets and not the other way around: Kevin O'Connell, Shawn Crable, Damien Woody, Kareem Brown, and Larry Izzo all say hello. Not to mention Ty Law, Hank Poteat and Eric Mangini, if you want to go back a few years.

Dude I swear the Pats just sign all of our players just to piss us off.. They are garbage and I truly wish the worst for the whole team..

I somehow doubt BB signs players for this reason. The Jets have signed a few ex Pats as well.

    I liked Dig.
But it seems that the organization might have felt that they have upgraded the position in Emmanuel Cook.

    Rotoworld reports that:
Patriots agreed to terms with S James Ihedigbo, formerly of the Jets.
Ihedigbo, 27, racked up 11 special teams tackles with New York last season. The Pats would be smart to make sure Ihedigbo doesn't play snaps on defense if he makes the final 53. He struggles badly in both coverage and run support.

NOTE: "He struggles badly in both coverage and run support."

Perhaps, that is why no other team was interested in Dig until today.

Digs is a cool dude who had good moments but he's not irreplaceable. He's with the pats? okay, great. move on.

It wasnt Digs hitting Woodhead. N it wasnt Eric hitting Woodhead. It was Eric Smith hitting Welker, Belichecks whiny little foot soldier. That was a beauty of a hit! Lil schmuck laid there for a good 5 sec

Unless the FO is suddenly going to go south, they have made the right moves for several years, including cutting guys loose at the the right time. Ihedigibo was popular but we'll get by without him. It is interesting that the Pats are collecting ex-Jets. That's not a good sign for the Pats (see Cleve Browns & their array of ex-Jets... how'd that work out?)

If anyone thinks he is actually a talented safety, yes. He was one of those guys that Rex found a specific role for. He will be a good special teams player and Belichick will probably be able to find a small role for him on D too. He will never be an effective starter.

Haha. As far as I can tell the Pats have 3 players who were recently on the Jets:

Danny Woodhead - I think it is fair to say that this move worked out OK.
Shaun Ellis - Even you guys admit he can still be a reliable rotational player. There are no signs that we need him to be more than that.
James Ihedigbo - May or may not even make the final roster.

I am not worried quite yet.
