can't even lie, i certainly enjoyed cod4 as it was a fucking awesome game. it's just a matter of personal preference. i like cod2's style moreso than any of the newer cod-mw types.
what i meant when i said that was that after call of duty 2 there seemed to be a very big change with the franchise. call of duty 2 had smaller teams, smaller maps, and was a game which focused more on strategy. in a way, it was harder to be good in call of duty 2 than in the subsequent games. you had to know what you were doing. starting with cod3 and beyond the teams started getting a lot bigger, the maps were a ton bigger, and with the newer guns, especially in the games with modern settings, it just seemed to be much more 'run and gun'. every match you played in seemed like it had a bunch of people just running around and shooting, camping, etc. A little ass kid who otherwise sucks can just run around in these games and shoot your ass with his MP5 habitually. That's really my main qualm with the newer games. I don't think every player is like this though. Some of the really great players at CodMW upload some of their matches up on youtube, and I catch a few of them sometimes, I don't know if anyone here is familiar with 'Chris Smoove' but he's fucking good. With he and with the players who are really good at the newer CoD's I can definitely see a strategy and a plan with how they go about playing. It's just that in a typical match you have a bunch of players who are otherwise clueless about anything that annoys me.
Running and gunning is fine. What pisses me off is the faggot campers who pick out a building, claymore the entrances, and sit there with their sniper rifle for the entire round. One thing that I liked a lot about Battlefield over COD is the destructible environment. If someone's being a pussy and camping a building you can just destroy the walls.
I honestly don't care for any fanboy arguments but it should come as no surprise to anyone when Battlefield 3 takes a gigantic dump on Modern Warfare 3.
If you have a ps3 Grab MAG only original shooter out there; Gameplay consists of 128 vs 128 in one match if the game can get set up
I anxiously anticipate that as MW will shatter sales records yet again. Yes, Battlefield looks sick. I'll buy that as well....
Call of Duty VS Battlefield Bad Company Round 1: Total Worldwide Sales (PS3 & 360): Battlefield: Bad Company (2008) - 2.44 Million Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (2007) - 14 Million Round 2: Total Worldwide Sales (PS3 & 360): Battlefield: Bad Company 2 (2010) - 5.1 Million Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare 2 (2009) - 21.4 Million Round 3: Total Worldwide Sales (PS3 & 360): Battlefield: Bad Company 2 (2010) - 5.1 Million Call of Duty: Black Ops (2010) - 22 Million The people have spoken...
You complain about MW fanboys but you sound like a Battlefield fanboy. I don't know why so many people can't just like both without shitting on the other.
I personally think MW 2 sucked because they made it all about the individual. The killstreak rewards were pretty cool at first and it was fun to try to get a nuke but then it pretty much became everyone turning every game mode into an extended team deathmatch in attempt to go for the big rewards. By the time I quit playing it was looked down upon to actually try to achieve the objective in a game like sabotage before a decent amount of time went off the clock. The first modern warfare had it's share of idiots and little kids but you could actually get use the mic to talk strategy with teammates that weren't your friends. In 2 nobody gave a shit about strategy because it had become all about being a one man army.
