is better than Sanchez shit!! Not saying he's terrible, but he ain't Dirty. Look what he did vs the Pats tonight!! NOTHING! Yeah, yeah, it's only preseason, but that kid looked LOST out there. This is what happens when you play good teams in the NFL. Sanchez > Freeman /thread
i agree, basing his future on a single portion of the 2nd preseason game of the year is exactly what we should be doing. and sanchez was 6 for 7 last week.... guaranteed hall of fame and superbowl.
Yes, couldn't agree more. But when you start a new thread with a post ending with "/thread" it's so tempting to take you at your word.
I think I'll troll some Buc boards tomorrow. Freeman was pretty pedestrian against good teams last year
Josh Freeman is a good player but his numbers were a bit out of whack last season because of the Buccaneers weak schedule. I still expect them to make the playoffs this year but I don't expect Freeman to have the same TD:INT ratio.
Using a preseason game as the basis for your argument? That smacks of picking your spot. Freeman did a better than decent job leading a below average team to the brink of the playoffs last year. Is he better than Sanchez? Hard to say. But Sanchez has alot better team around him than Freeman right now, so it makes it a tougher call. Let's just say they're both really good up and coming QB's. The next generation of top QBs.
It is impossible to tell how good Freeman is if his O-line lets rushers come free on every play. His WR also dropped at least 2 passes that I saw. Watching him last year I thought he was very good, mobile, good arm etc.
Loyal Jets fan is right, I am going to base my opinion on this one pre-season game and say Freeman sucks. I would cut him based on this game.
Did anyone watch the Jets on Monday night? Jeff Cumberland is clearly the best TE in the fuckin' NFL!! /thread
You're crazy. I want to fight you now. Meet me at the Applebee's near Marist in 25. I'll be in my McElroy jersey.
The Bucs have a very good offensive line. Freeman has done a lot better than I thought he would, but he played against a lot of bad teams last season. I want to see how he does with a tougher schedule.
It's preseason, don't take anything out of it. W/ that said Freeman put up great #s against a weak sched w/ no pressure to win. this will be the first year he has pressure to win. Let's see what he can do.
I never said the kid sucked. I'm just saying that Sanchez is better. 4 road playoff wins vs good stats w/ a weak ass schedule Gimmie dirty.
