    Now that he is a JET I hope the best for this guy. I am sure they are taking a look and will see if he can develop into a LB or pass rusher.

    The guy has never been able to play the run, so he will strictly be a nickel pass rusher in this system. Rex has another project i guess he's gotten a lil bored without gholston being around.

    Just watched Mayock's brief analysis of Maybin on draft day.

    Said he weighed 249 at the combine, but questioned whether he could sustain that weight.
    Struggled against the run at Penn State, so would definitely struggle at the pro level.
    (Nailed it w/those 2 observations)

    Plus side: said he had great athleticism, speed, and pass-rushing ability, something that, as Mayock put it, "you either wake up in the morning with or you don't".

    Hopefully Rex can get something useful from this still-very-young kid.

    The key here being nickel. If he somehow defies the odds and makes the team, he'll likely never see the field as a true LB.
