So today made me think of something. I would assume this goes without saying but Ill say it anyway. If it fuckin rains on 11/13/11, there is no wayyyyy jonnyd makes it to the tailgate or the game. Just so you know.
Ha. That was my family vacation getaway when I was a kid. Those corny commercials worked wonders on my parents.
Its OK - We were betting it was a 50/50 showing even if it was 70, warm, breezy, and a waiter was bringing you iced drinks.
If you actually show up, I'd gladly get you hammered drunk so you can plant yourself face first into a trash can, topple over, and show your twig and berries to all the Pats fags walking by.
If Johnny D shows up MBgreen is going to stick his head up a cows ass and pull back out and stick it in again.
I've been going over for about 10 years now and you have to appreciate New York is very expensive, if you don't watch out where you eat and drink you can pay $12 for a glass of beer- no kidding! Air fares are about £500 return- try to go direct UK to John F or Newark and hotel accomodation can be reasonable £60 per night to £300 per night at even modest hotels in midtown. Tickets are usually available even on game day from scalpers- £130 should be enough. It's an expensive operation but the greatest experience in your life.
If you don't already use it, I recommend Hotwire for your hotels - I always use it for NYC accommodation and generally pay no more than $150 a night for a 4* in midtown.
I always begged my parents to take me there because the snowmobiling and the other shit looked so cool. When we would go to the Poconos we always stayed in my dad's friends cabin in Tannersville which was actually pretty sweet as it was right on Camelback Ski Resort. The other commercial I remember from watching countless hours of cartoons on WPIX was the Milford Plaza one. Never would have guessed from watching those commercials that years later I would be banging some drunk flight attendant in that dump.
