10 weeks from today is the last full week in October. Giving him a few extra weeks he would still be available during crunch time this year. Not as bad as I was thinking.

This is a big loss but at least it happened now and not during the last preseason game. Still some time to look for some o-line depth (possibly after initial cuts).

I can agree and disagree with your statement only because Turner has stepped in for our starters on the OL before and the OL had not missed a beat. Specifically, when Mangold sat out an entire offensive drive last year and Turner stepped in and and completed the scoring drive. You couldn't even tell a b/u OLineman was in there.

    I just squirmed. Ugh.

dude, enough already. Cause you are the only one on the board that knows Jets players? Your whole routine is getting old. I think he was a little more than the blocking tight end and you know that.....but just because you have to say some smart shit you always make something a bigger deal than it is.

i think MR E has it spot on and we all know RT is pretty versatile and findings someone like that is difficult especially one that doesn't know the current system.....

best case would be if woody came back and hunter could spell turner.

i don't think players who have practiced are allowed to be placed on the pup list.

pretty sure you have to start training camp already on it.

You mean the routine of having a "well informed opinion"?

Mr. E...stop being intelligent or I'll ban you.

throw him on IR and sign his replacement

no backup OL is worth wasting a roster spot for more then 1/2 the season

haaaaa....you guys are hilarious. Having an opinion is one thing, calling people names and going over the top when someone disagrees with you is another. I respect his football knowledge, as I do yours and many others on the board. The insults and the extra stuff, not so much. Nothing intelligent about that. If you wouldnt say something to someone who is sitting next to you at a bar but you would say over the internet isnt respectable.

and.....Mr E is a big boy. He can stand up for himself. Everytime someone questions him or disagrees with him a bunch of you run to his rescue. Thats funny.

Agreed. Woody out of retirement would be great but do you think he would come out without even trying his hand at the tv thing yet? I wonder.....

8-10 weeks is encouraging. We still need to bring someone in though.

you make no sense. when did i mention anything about Mangold?

you mean cause Turner was playing for him?

    thats alot of what if's

maybe if Mangold was playing he makes the read call at the line and nothing happens.

    see what im saying?

I took your post as if you meant if you had to choose a depth injury it would be our 6th OL.

    communication error.

either way its not a drastic loss, just definitely one worth noting.

Monitor the hell out of the cuts from other teams. We will pounce on teams cutting OL in last cuts. Turner WAS the offensive line depth. Now he's out. And without Hartsock, he would have played a big role at tight end as a blocker.

If the OL can stay healthy again, we wont miss Turner. If someone else gets hurt, then it is time to worry.

    I wasn't jumping to anyone's rescue...it was an observation.
