Well, it's "exciting," no? In all honesty now, do you want to stay in NJ near the stadium or would you rather get a feel for NYC? How many days will you be staying?
only over 2 days and a bit of a veteran of nyc , been coming over since 96 but not sure what the hotels in the meadowlands are like. Its purely a see the jets trip

That weekend is the New York Comedy Festival, there's loads of good stuff on downtown. My wife wants to head down to see a couple of acts so if we get tickets for the ones we want we're going to go to the Pats game as well, if we're welcome we'll swing by the tailgate to put some faces to names.

Compton's really not as bad as people think. It's not great, but I'd head there over East LA any day. It has some damn good BBQ, too.
ijr, its not great...you wouldn't go for a stroll...but having been up to dodger stadium...anywhere in la is better ,
No, I wouldn't go for a stroll, or wander around some neighborhoods in my car. I'll drive in and out and stop off in public places, and if I know someone on a street, I'll stop at a house. Some parts of East LA I won't even drive through.
same in any city...i love chicago absolutely love it .I visit 6-8 imes per yr but i would go nowhere near jenwood/englwood...its who and what you know...i took some friends to brooklyn last yr..been going since i was 16..they were terrified
