Revis was only "awful" last season because he was playing with a bad hamstring. After the bye, he got back to shutting everyone down. Look at the stats if you don't believe me.
They overpaid for him, probably the only team to offer him 4 times what the Jets were willing to pay. Not that it will stop media from baiting the Jets fans about it, but it was an obvious financial decision for Ellis. Still, he can go fuck himself.
You bring up one fucking play to prove the point of him being "awful"? And you wonder why you get in these arguments? Revis was not up to snuff early in the season, but he was still pretty damn good. And to put all the blame on the GM for the holdout is simply taking the player's side without having any firsthand evidence to back the claim. The second half of the season into the playoffs, he was back to himself.
LMAO they paid him 5 million....what a joke. Patriots fans are flipping shit, this guy isnt even worth 2.5 millions and they paid him 5. AHHHHHHAAAAA
Yes, they load up on picks but how many of those picks do they actually use? The argument up until last year was that the Pats were too old on defense(which they were) They made drastic changes all over the defense last year (Spikes, McCourty, Chung, Cunningham) and it was a huge question mark going into the season. The question marks were answered quickly, but will it work that way with guys like Wilkerson, Ellis, Pit, etc?
Just to appease you, the first NFL game I ever went to, was at Shea, Jets vs. Pats, 1979. The Pats earlier in the season beat the Jets like 56-3, something really ridiculous where they ran up the score and rubbed the Jets faces in it. Jets got better as the season went on and got revenge, beating the Pats to knock them out of the playoff picture. Was one of the sweeter wins the Jets had back then, when they weren't very good for a long time. Ever since that 56-3 game, I couldn't stand the Pats. I remember Klecko giving the number one sign to the fans when the game was locked up and he was on the sideline,,, sweet moment.
Petrozza banned someone for jumping the gun on the Indy game back in January. At least that guy didn't spew his shit all over the message boards for months.
You just cant let a guy like this annoy you after awhile. He contradicts himself, says dumb things, and then argues about it. Have a pepsi and enjoy the entertainment.
Really?? That's hard-hitting analysis right there. Could you back it up with some facts? They weren't spectacular, but they were ranked 18th in DVOA and 8th in points per game allowed(only 1 point less per game than the vaunted Jets defense).
