Yep. He carried on a conversation with Al Dorow over the weekend. I do believe he's the first person to carry on a pleasant conversation with Al Dorow. Obvious troll is obvious.
You do realize 1.5 million is only 600K more then what the Jets offered? When a guy has played 11 seasons with one team and made over 40 million with them it's not an insult. It would have been more insulting if they had cut him. At this point it's obvious Rex doesn't see him fitting in to the long term plans of the team. You don't know what Ellis was demanding either so to get on a pedestal and chastise our GM and coach as some sort of Detroit Lions type organization is bullshit. They have taken us to 2 consecutive AFC Championship games even after getting rid of all the dead weight vets from the previous regimes. I think they know what they're doing.
You still think Mr. T is a scum bag/cut-throat GM for not giving a 34 year old rotational former god damn great DE for us? I'm sorry, but this is a smart decision. You cannot let silly emotions for football players cloud judgement.
I think he lies to the players and I think in alot of instances, isn't truthful. Not cause of this Ellis stuff, just based on the past.
Another guy who likes that term,,, oh troll,, is that like a message board tough guy term? Seriously, it's enough.... Not a troll or whatever that is,,, not a Pat fan,,,, diehard Jet fan who doesn't follow the team blindly. That's all.
#28Martin, The Pats clearly overpaid for Ellis. 1.5-2 million (like you suggested) was even too much for what role Rex had for Shaun in his defense, especially when you couple that with Shaun's age. Tanny made the correct call here. Instead of trying to vilify him, maybe you should start paying closer attention to what he does for this team. You might learn something. EDIT: And please stop trolling. That's your final warning.
dosent matter, tanny hurt his feelings. and in the nfl, people fucking give a shit if you have hurt feelings.
Anyone who uses commas as much as #28Martin is obviously trying to troll (even if he doesn't know what the definition of the word is).
Ellis doing the Jets two favors: freeing up a roster spot that would've been allocated to him simply out of (albeit well-deserved) respect, and chewing up an insane portion of the Pats' cap space to be largely ineffective for them this season. Way to go, Shaun! This about confirms to me that the Pats have gone batshit since Pioli left. Have they scouted Ellis outside of the one game they saw him play in the postseason? For that money, they probably should've brought back Ty Warren.
