Take a look at the A talent this team has given very good long term deals to in the last couple of seasons. There's a reason rotational vets who are at the end aren't getting primo contracts, they aren't worth it if you actually have a core of great players that need to be held onto.
:drunk: Gentlemen, first off, in Rex's scheme, D-Linemen are NOT held at a premium. From what I read in his book, he hasn't had a lot of high draft picks in his front 3 or 4 and still has done well. Ellis was contemplating retirement which makes me wonder if he's 100% into playing right now. Add in that N.E has 14 players slotted as defensive linemen right now. One of those is Marques Murrell. Remember him? Remember how people went NUTS when they signed him? Did we miss him? Anyway, we were 10 million under the cap before Deric Mason signed. Lets see who shakes free and how much we still have to play with. As was said in "The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy" Don't Panic.
I actually like Michigan, but that's not really a plus these days, either... Other then I thought Victor Hobson was a player when they drafted him and was kinda right on that.
I just mean, what you said made it seem like you were acting better than a poster. I mean Sanchez only started for a little more than a year. Sucks to be a Michigan fan though nowadays.
It's one thing for Jets management to be not loyal,,, it's another when alot of their fans are the same. Seriously, this guy Ellis was a great Jet,,,, this no big loss type of thinking really is disappointing.
When you're called out for not knowing who Sanchez was and you not only know who he was but watched the guy alot, it makes the point wrong. As for Michigan, yeah they've sucked for a while now. Most brutal defense imaginable in recent years. The QB is good though and fun to watch.
Good riddance Ellis, your no longer a Jet in my eye. I hope our Oline throws u right on your fat ass.
No chance of that, honestly Ellis was really bad last season. Rex obviously realized this and was not agressive at all to bring him back. We clearly had money to spend on him but its honestly not worth it. He had one good game against the Patriots, but even those sacks were because of the great coverage by Revis, Cro, etc. A week ago I honestly didnt care if Ellis came back or not? and here I am a week later and I still dont care. Wilkerson and Kendrick are their to replace him anyway. Oh and for all the Giants fans who are saying we dont take care of our own players, look at Osi, Reis and co. PROMISED Osi a contract this year, and instead they are being classless and trying to make him look bad. Id be pissed to if I was Osi and I wasnt promised a contract and got nothing.
he was a good Jet! he has played well and been a healthy contributor for a decade. why he picked the Pats I will never know. He deserves his props but he also now deserves some shit for going to the rival! If it wasn't the pats I would miss him.
I like Ellis and thought he just cost himself his number being retired. It's interesting that some of the Herm/Mangini guys don't like Rex.
Since, your opinion is the only one that matters on pretty much all that is the Jets: I have an important question....... If a fly lands on the ceiling it lands like this: Does the fly flip itself like a gymnast or does the fly, fly upside down. This question has been bothering me all day. A little help please.
