What a traitorous piece of shit. You play your ass off for this team for a decade and you go to your most hated rival just like that? I don't care about all the years he gave us. It's as if he never played here.
Does this open the door for Matt Roth? One door shuts, another one opens. If this happens it would take the sting away a bit.
Woulda been nice to have him, but I doubt he will be that effective. Nothing to worry about, just another scrub that the Patriots will have picked him up this year.
It's a business. I've seen players (ala Jason Taylor) go to their rivals in all sports. I'll always appreciate what he did here, this will certainly hurt his standing with the fans, but we move on....he's not a guy who's vital to our success.
Is Ty Warren healthy and has he signed with anyone yet.... this is no different then a Red Sox player signing with the Yankees in my book, it should just never happen.
I don't think it matters. It would obviously behoove us to keep players who know the system, but Roth is a much younger guy, who's a quote-unquote sparkplug. Ryan and Pettine would make it work. He can stop the run and get to the QB and he'd be relatively cheap right now.
Signed with the Broncos I believe. Either way, Ellis is dead to me. Luckily he only plays well AGAINST the Patriots.
