Due to cap reasons. And his off the field issues. His asking price was too high too. The 49ers are a lot more desperate.
You have a lot of tolerance. I've long since lost count of the number of times you've explained that.
There was no chance in hell Braylon Edwards was coming back here for 3 million when Holmes got more. So yeah people.
If there's no interest in the market for Cotchery, do you think he comes knocking at our door again? I mean, realistically he'll find a team, but it would be interesting to see that scenario happen.
Dude, that makes no sense what so ever!! why are you getting into deep thought/random crap about what you think he may want-----> "It-Time-To-Move-On"...
This board cracking me up with this. One article, and everyone making it seem like he was a disgruntled anti-Jet. It seems to me he was not part of the Jets plans, and asked to be released sooner rather than later (as it was coming either way). I don't think that constitutes him not wanting to be a Jet. But hey, whatever helps you sleep.
Agreed. Im hoping theres more than meets the eye. Maybe he is pretty badly injured. Otherwise, this move pisses me off.
It does. He wants to be with the team im sure he loves, but its a business and he wants to start and be "appreciated"...sorta like Moss in NE He most definitely does not hate the Jets organization
multiple real sources say he's wanted out of here since feb. the players & coaches tried to convince him to stay & he decided against it. what's the issue with saying (i) don't want any players that don't want to be here? cause i don't! haha, i certainly don't hate the guy.
Cotchery is taking a physical with the Steelers tomorrow. I thought he wanted out of New York because he wanted a bigger role? If he signs with the Steelers, he'll be the third receiver behind Mike Wallace and Hines Ward. He'll most likely be the fourth option in their passing game behind Ward, Wallace, and tight end Heath Miller. If Mason agreed to play here for vet minimum, Tannenbaum just made a hell of a move.
Maybe Hines has indicated a desire to retire? If so, Cotchery could step into a larger role starting next season. It seems like a stretch, though.
Seems like him and Braylon both overvalued themself and will end up getting less than they would have if they stayed. If I didnt appreciate their play last year so much I'd say jokes on them but I'll be nice.I can't think of too many teams he'd be a #2 for. That being said,if Crabtree is healthy,Braylon won't be a #1 and will be the 3rd option @ best. Who the fuck are these guy's agents?
I'll be interested to see what he does. A move to the Steelers would be very interesting. Seeing as how he would be at best be #3.
