I guess it would have to be written off to a mental lapse and the fact that its 1230am.

No matter what it was if a single word in my post can bother you that much i would ask that you just dont bother reading or responding to them.

But without my response, you'd still think that Legedu Naanee is a free agent.

I would ask that you Google a player before you post your ideas. I don't have a problem with posters suggesting other available wideouts, because Mason may not sign...but there's no reason to bring up players that signed elsewhere a few days ago.

I would trade our 1st for DeSean Jackson. Well, if we could afford it. We can switch him and Holmes up at the slot.

With everyone that is still out there, I would go to Moss's house and get him signed. Moss on one side, Plax on the other and Holmes in the slot sounds good to me. Everyone is going to say Moss is a cancer but he will shut up and play on this team, we didnt hear crap about him in NE until he didnt get a new contract.

This is a list of all available receivers that had at least 10 catches last season. Most are long in the tooth and would be nothing more than league minimum stop gaps.

These are not in any order or preferrence:
    - Michael Clayton (Was really good in the five games he played with St Lious last season and they are trying to sign him.)
    - Derek Hagan (was active in seven games with four starts and 24 catches. Plus he knows the area.)
    - T.J. Houshmandzadeh (Not much in the tank, but did have 30 catches and 3 TDs last season.)
    - Terrell Owens (He had a good year last season with 72 catches and 9 TDs. Is he worth it though?)
    - Derrick Mason (Long in the tooth , but gets the job done and tough as nails.)
    - Antwaan Randle El (Running on fumes, but could be a quick short fix on the slot spot.)
    - Steve E. Smith (Injured, but he could help at the end of this season and down the road. Would be a good #2 when healthy and knows the system. Thinking next couple years.)

Didn't look at any 'retired' players.

Slim pickens, lets hope Cotch signs with the Raven and we get Mason. Still I like the idea on Smith, just two years removed from 107 catch season.

I wouldnt in smith either, but would prefer a one year deal or something because i really think Kerley will fill that slot spot extremely well... I really wouldnt mind going into the season with him there, only thing is, is if plax or holmes gets hurt we are kinda screwed, Thats why i really like Mason for a one year deal

TJ wouldn't be terrible. He was never the guy ppl crowned him to be in Cincy but we don't need him to be.He's a really good possession receiver.A pretty strong and tough guy that can go over the middle.I'd give the Eagles a #1 and Brian Thomas for Desean. Maybe they'd bite.Thomas is wildly overrated and benefitting from deceiving stats from last year.Only problem is Jackson wanting more $ than Holmes.Steve Smith would be gr8 if he were able to get on the field by the start of the season.I dont wanna wait for him tho. Essentially, its as bad as Braylon's potential suspension.Bottom line is we need to replace JCO's production.I cant believe we let him go w/o a replacement to begin with

Smith would probably want more than a year, which we can't afford right now.

Yeah he's really good at not getting open and dropping passes when he miraculously finds himself wide-open. Pass.

Smith is actually willing to take a 1 year deal.

Whether that is exclusive to the Giants, I don't know...

There isn't much to get excited about on that list. The only name that really intrigues me is Steve Smith.

Microfracture surgery is much better than coin flip, but not a lock which is odd for a surgical procedure. (75-80% effective). If it works, the player can be quite productive (Vilma) if it doesn't, their career is toast.

Does anyone know when Smith had the surgery? I think the rehab time is pretty long, but slightly shorter than ACL repair.

Anyway , Smith may be worth a gamble.

Edit: It says that rehab is 4 months but that is very very aggressive # with most patients taking 2-3 times as long.

Every name on that list is washed up.
Since there won't be an NBA season, let's offer a 1 year contract to Blake Griffin and just throw jump balls into the endzone.
I guarantee he'll come down with a few :breakdance:

If we're going with that logic just get Kevin Love to play our 2TE. If he rips down boards like that Im sure he can box out on a few jump balls.
