Your going to get a great player since its a contract year, again. And if he stays out of jail, again.

Dont spam to get to 10. Nobody really wants to hear your story.

    Can this thread die already>

RT @MaioccoCSN SF deal for WR BEdwards is $1M base w/no guaranteed $. only gets $3.5M if he catches 90 & makes Pro Bowl #nyj

And the chances of that are 0.

Yep. There's a much better chance that he ends up in prison for violating his probation for a second time.

Damn he really signed for peanuts.. his legal problems are definitely a major issue with him.. there's a good chance he could end up in jail.. and he's definitely facing a suspension.

There's now a report that he will be suspended for at least 2 games.

He may be cut before he reports if that's true.

We can get Braylon to pay the Jets to play at this point.

They're not going to cut him. He gets the $1 million either way, and it makes it all the more unlikely that he reaches any of his incentives to drive that salary up.

Honestly, **** you, Braylon. I will never support him again. All this garbage about wanting to be a Jet, but the POS couldn't swallow his pride and sign here because of what Holmes makes? Seriously?

**** you, Braylon. **** you you POS.

I think it's pretty clear that the Jets didn't want him back.

Braylon's a mess. I liked the guy a lot, and still do. Hell, I wish he was playing here, but he's too deluded for his own good and as you can see he's suffering for it. It makes no sense to me that he would take a deal like this on a lesser team when he could have had the same deal with us, it's just stupid. He's not a Jet anymore and I could care less.

It would be pretty hilarious if we won the Super Bowl without him and Cotchery this year.

Put yourselves in his shoes. All the Jets did last year was brag about him and Holmes, like both were great. Then the off-season comes and they offer Holmes 50 million dollars and Braylon 10 bucks. How would you feel?

Rex said he would bring him back for the right price.

Willing to bet we matched or bettered SF's peanuts offer.

Fact of the matter is he got nowhere near what Holmes got on the open market.

He says he wanted to stay here, then signs in SF for crap?

I understand he thinks hes worth more, but the fact is he didn't get anywhere near what he thought he was worth.. so why not stay in a place you claim you want to play in?

The tweet says none of it is guaranteed, not even the million base. If he gets suspended I would think he is gone.

Because it's very tough, from a pride standpoint, knowing that you were a FA and your team offered you so little compared to the other guy. Holmes is better, no doubt about it but they really went ultra hard for one guy and not at all for the other. You walk in the lockerrom signing for 2 million bucks, after the season he had last season, not so easy.

The fact that Edwards gets no guaranteed money is huge: It means that if Edwards reveals himself to be more of a pain in the neck than he’s worth at any point during training camp or the preseason, the 49ers can cut him without having paid him anything. Edwards is a vested veteran, so his $1 million base salary will be guaranteed if he’s on the 49ers’ roster for Week One.
