Fingers crossed. If he goes to the Pats or Fins I will not be happy. Very excited about Mason though.
I wonder if he would start there... they have a lot of WRs and with Newton it doesn't seem the best palce to be o 1 yr prove it deal... he would be helpful with his experience and professionality though. What about the Cardinals? This isn't something in favour of Cotchery. With Mason I'm concerned that the older you get the more it takes for your body to heal... Mason isn't injury prone I agree and he is as tough as they come. However I'm willing to bet he's played through some injuries and the older you get the more difficult it is to do that. If we had just Burress or just Mason I wouldn't be as worried... but having both makes me think Tanny has taken a (small) leap of faith. However, I sincerely hope I'm wrong and will be very happy if I got worried for nothing... end of rant.
Reports are they sent an offer to Randy Moss after he so-called retired. Not at all comparing Moss and Cotchery, but if they feel they can use another WR ... he could make sense.
Personally, Cotchery would be perfect with mentoring a guy like Sam Bradford...The safety net reciever
I just hope your curse doesn't rebound off the protective bubble I placed on Mason and bust up Cotch's knee.
It's a great move, because it frees up cash for next season and we'll definitely have to bring in a couple new wideouts through free agency and the draft. Mason will more than likely retire after this season and we won't know about Plaxico Burress until the season's over. Lucky for us 2012's draft class is loaded at receiver.
So is free agency route...Should be very interesting, but right now one just has to hope Sanchez can develop chemistry with the new WR's before the season
Yep. I thought the money might be a bit more, but he's clearly going to set his sights on that WR class in next year's draft. Tanny's got a definite plan in place for our corps.
