I'm glad it's so simple for you but, objectively speaking, I'm not sure there is a good argument for Cotch being a better receiver than Mason. Just look at their production. The only thing you could say is that Cotch is only 29. But guess what? Mason and Burress are only one year options anyway. I just don't see where this argument for keeping cotchery at all costs really goes . . . especially if his long term health is a legitimate concern.
My positive spin on this is refusing to believe it's actually happening. I am a firm believer that this whole thing is a smoke screen. Cotch's comments are pretty much ruining my theory. This sucks.
It could mean that he shared it with coaches, or that he was upset with coaches. I'm guessing he didn't like being pushed to the 3 last season with Holmes being brought in. Thank God he was, though, since he got injured.
This is probably the most exciting tweet of the day... LisaZimmerman Lisa Zimmerman Mike Tannenbaum, Woody Johnson and Rex Ryan all standing on one of the practice fields together. Tannenbaum w/cell phone to his ear.. #jets
Always liked Derrick Mason. One of the toughest motherfuckers in the league.
It's just speculation. Vrentas mentioned that he's talked with a specific coach about "change". Schotty makes the most sense.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8P_7-12dLGg&feature=related makes me almost forget the bounce off the leg cotch play
It also seems he may have been upset with Tanny. He said he was still upset that Pennington didn't retire a Jet. I'm guessing he just didn't like the team going after so many FAs.
Cotchery has never been as good as Mason even when he was healthy, so to claim that the only reason he wasn't better last year is because he was injured is you just drinking the Cotch-crotchwhitepeeaid.
just heard on NFLN that Mason is also talking to two other teams and his acquisition is "not a slam dunk"
