I love resigning Pool at safety, but still liked the idea of Elam coming back. We just need to bring in a veteran for some pass rush. The only guy I see that could help us and still available is Matt Roth. He has experience with the 3-4 and was under Rob Ryan in Cleveland. Perfect fit for us and would bring about 5 sacks a year with him.
Pool is better than Elam especially for this team in this system. I'm happy we got Pool back, we have some depth at safety now.
I would have loved to have Elam back as well, but he just signed with the Cowboys. God damn Rob Ryan!
Now I don't know if we would want the headache he might be. But I remember reading up on him and he was considered a pass rushing specialist but I hear the Eagles are having problems with Ricky Sapp. @geoffmosher Geoff Mosher source tells me sapp left the team days ago on his own volition and was placed on Reserved/Left Squad list. Sapp did same thing last year. Supposedly he's not a big fan of Training camps

I always thought that Cullen Jenkins was Kris's brother but I wasnt sure.. And he just said on SportsCenter that he is. I wish we went out and signed Cullen now.. Would of made alot of sense for us...
Most of us still believe we need more pass rushing ability, but nothing even in the wind about us chasing anyone. Matt Roth who not only plays the 34, but spent 2 years under Rob Ryan has not even has a sniff so far, so we should offer him a league minimum with some incentive clauses and see what happens.
Roth isn't gonna upgrade either OLB spot, so I'd rather stick to what the Jets have with Pace, Cactus, and Westerman at this point. 3 to 4 sacks from him isn't gonna really help out the passrush a whole lot...
The fact he spent 2 years with Rob Ryan, and Rex hasn't even sniffed around him should tell you all you need to know because I'm sure Rex at least asked Rob about him..
If you you look at last season who Roth got sacks vs he did it vs really crappy teams. 2 vs CIN .5 vs JAX and 1 vs. CAR. Not the greatest accomplishments
