Nah,, I don't think it's that. I think it's a take it or leave it. When they offer these guys, this type of deal, it rarely ends up being much of a negotiation.

Well what's the deal with that veteran's exception?

Well I guess that's why they are gonna cut or trade Cotchery. But that being said, Ellis's contract doesn't effect next years cap.

What are you talking about? Who said Bradway was better then Tannenbaum? Tannenbaum has been FAR BETTER then Bradway.

No idea how it works really, but I'd rather spend it elsewhere. Does anyone know if we've used it on other players?

I brought up using it on LT earlier in the off-season. He's playing for a very generous price after his deal was restructured though.

Maybe we could bring in a veteran wideout if Cotchery get shipped out?

Like I said though, I have no idea how it works.

I think Joe Namath should be given 900k of our cap space for this year, because he has meant so much to this organization.

Seriously, why does everything always have to be an insult. Sorry, Ellis was their best defensive player in the NE playoff game. He's still good. Saying he should be offered more then the league minimum isn't so radical or off base.

Did he have a couple of sacks in the NE playoff game?

Glad we have established this. Part of the reason he has been far better than Bradway is because he is an excellent talent evaluator and negotiator. He doesn't hand out coin haphazardly.

Negotiation is a process. They want Ellis back but at the right price. It's a proccess, ya dig? Process.

Every single one of your posts insults our fan base.

The best defensive player in the New England playoff game was the entire secondary. Ellis got some pressure and some sacks and you could see that on your TV, so you probably just assumed he was the best.

It's probably too much to ask for you to pay attention to the pass coverage. Something like that would go way over your head.

Thanks for the update... It's been talked about here the last half hour and has it's own thread.

Jets secondary was also pretty good in that playoff game too. The entire defense as a unit was pretty good. Yeah Ellis looked sick slamming Brady all over the place, but let's not forget...we were dropping like 5-7 guys into coverage the entire game.

Ellis did a good job in the Pats game but let's be real...those were coverage sacks. Not there's anything wrong with that...

So you get mad about insults then attempt to insult me for not caring enough about my avatar to change it back after a mod changed to Hulk as a joke? This is why you shouldn't think. It doesn't do you any good.
