Both of those guys have to step up big this season. And if they can, we are set at defense

Bart Scott says Ropati Pitoitua is going to have a great season so I have to agree, but I like Westerman alot too...

    Yes!

This signing should have been celebrated like the Holmes signing.

Strickland is a huge cog in the wheel of the defense.

Strickland has played on the #1 defense two years running, and is a great addition to our secondary. I'll take him over Coleman any day of the week.

He's already familiar with the system, will be our primary dime package corner, and will thrive in the role..

FTFY. If Strickland stays healthy then he'll be as good as he was when healthy on the 2009 team. If he's the same guy that's only played in more than 9 games 3 times in an 8 year career then he'll be a painful waste of talent like when he was injured on the 2009 team.

Garret McIntyre. He won't get a lot of opportunities so I'm not expecting more all that much but I get the feeling he can over-achieve in Rex's system.

You're right. Strick's health is paramount to him being the biggest sleeper this year.

Even Rex said he hits too hard for his size. That is the reason why he gets hurt so often.

Aside from his time with us in 2009, Strick's seemingly stayed pretty healthy playing in 52 of 64 games the last 4 years.

Whether or not that trend continues is as yet to be seen. He's 30 years old and he has a long list of injuries. If he managed to change his game to where he's not going for a kill shot on every play then maybe he can stay healthy.

Until then, I'll remain hesitant to put that much value on his performance.

    OK, just think 1 moment....
    ...
CALVIN PACE. He's due in a major way. People have always acknowledged his greatness but he's never had the surrounding cast for him to execute. Time for Calvin to show us why we spent big bucks for him to come here as 1 of the founding fathers our our NEW GENERATION JETS. 2 new fresh bodies on the Dline should allow him to do his FUCKING-THANG!!!!

Calvin Pace is old. He should have been out of the game years ago but he can't stay home because he hates his wife.

OK. Regardless he's still on the same contract that brought him here. Find someone else with his speed and size on the roster...

You've met her at the Christmas parties. She's the one that gets plastered and calls him a retard.
