Since this team couldn't really make any big moves for any new players this off-season, what player on this team could you really see stepping up and having the biggest unforeseen impact ? Eric Smith ? Westerman ? Ellis ? Wilkerson? Wilson ?

Personally I think McKnight is really gonna step up, im really expecting this guy to prove without a doubt he is ready to replace LT's role on this team and then some. As well as being an impact player on special teams.

With the way our team is set up with a handful of huge payday players, it really leaves a ton of space for lesser knowns to make a name for themselves at a ton of positions on this team.

I think Kerley does well as a slot receiver

I agree with that; no reasoning, just a hunch and wishful thinking.

I also think that Kyle Wilson is going to do really well out of the slot this year now that he knows his role and can focus solely on that instead of bouncing around the outside and the slot.

Hopefully Ropati Pitoitua can contribute this year, Rex had high hopes for him last year before his injury.

Also, hopefully Ducasse can beat out Hunter for the RT job and be a mauler over there.

Lastly, Joe McKnight, expecting pretty good things out of him. Obviously not a huge contributor because of Greene & LT ahead of him, but good on ST and the occasional carries and catches out the of the backfield

This. He's going to have a HUGE opportunity to step up this season.

Have to mention McKnight as well, although it sure seems like a lot of people are talking him up right now. Pretty funny since a few of us had to fight against the masses wanting to cut him last year.

Its tough to call a rookie a sleeper when we don't know anything about them.

McKnight makes the most sense as a sleeper. Rededicated himself in the offseason. He's earned Westy's trust. He's ready to contribute.

Preseason is going to be fun. Plenty of guys who can show what they have under the limitations of summer football.

Having Cook show up and contribute would be a huge blessing.

Going to say Westermann. Just because he is going to be given the biggest opportunity seeing as that none of our LB can get a consistent pass rush.

    I'll add Marquice Cole.

He'll be the #5 CB this year, but when called upon he doesn't suck. Look for him on special teams.

Pitoitua. He'll show us what we were missing last season. I also expect Pace to exceed expectations if he stays healthy.

Danny Woodhead would have been just as good in our offense because all teams really run the same system but there's no reason for us to have 2 good Tight Ends because we're not the fucking Patriots.
