Hopefully it means we can pick him up. Hometown discount + "texts from last night" discount should give us a pretty good value.

It really makes you wonder if Tanny and Rex knew this guy was just a ticking time bomb and it was only a matter of time before he ended up in the bighouse?

Talk about just a shitty time to do something stupid. You really couldn't wait till after you signed that deal to "get your knuckles ready"

This guy cannot stay out of trouble. I would not want him. Per ESPN...

For the record, here is Edwards' rap sheet over the last 18 months:

    • Two misdemeanors.

    • A total of $1,500 in fines.

    • A suspended 180-day jail sentence.

    • A six-month suspension of his license.

Would anyone really want to pick him up unless it was for free? He obviously hangs out with he same crowd as Pacman and Dez.....

Sorry, enough of this now. I love what he brings to the field, but if we're so short of cap space I really don't want Cotch cut to bring him back; Cotch may not be able to bring what Edwards does on the field, but at least Cotch can (injuries permitting) be relied on to be there.

Braylon is now walking such a thin line and has clearly still got a lot of growing up to do. Let him do it somewhere else on someone else's dime.

If this incident is found to be true, that I would have to think Braylon would accept coming back to this team on a 1 year deal close to what Plax was paid. He will have a chance, once again, to clear his rep for 1 season and help the Jets win a super bowl. He is still young enough, and talented enough, if he stays clean to earn a big pay day in another season IF he can stay out of trouble and remain productive.

I think this makes perfect sense for both parties. Why go somewhere where he will have to develop chemistry with a new QB, or better yet, go somewhere where he won't win and be unhappy like Cleveland. A return to the Jets, is his best chance at staying clean with a locker room full of guys that support him (I refuse to believe Cimini's take that Braylon was disliked in the locker room)

And let's face it Jet fans, we NEED this guy on our team. Even if Plaxico is the old Plax, let's take a look at who we will likely meet in the super bowl. Eagles with Asante/Cromartie/Asomugha....Packers with Trumond/Woodson and a great pass rush. Sadly, I hate to see it, but on paper atleast, if we were to meet the Eagles in the super bowl we do not match up well. Our LB's are too slow to contain Vick and Cromartie would struggle with either Maclin/Desean. Add in the 3 top CB's (assuming they hold onto all 3) then we need to have options at WR. With Harris yet to sign longterm and Sanchez still with a cap hit of 17.7, we really need to find a way to make this work. If Plax is a bust, or Cotchery is not 100%, or Holmes gets injured, then we may not have enough to get over the hump. As they say in Knocked Up, we are "on the cusp" but bringing back Braylon along with everything else we have accomplished this offseason will do wonders for getting us that ring.

You know I really can't blame the front office for not going after Braylon early if this is his behavior when he is seeking a contract I can't see him not fucking up after he gets one.

I actually think this is more of a reason to stay away from him. He's one fuck up away from being suspended a season and he doesn't seem to care.
