A nice thick steak needs nothing but a salt and pepper seasoning before BBQing.
But we are getting off topic.

Sadly I haven't burged for over a month.

I just had an amazing burgin experience.

    Giant 3/4 lbs beef patty
    Grilled onion
    Fried Egg
    2 slices American Cheese
    Heap of Bleu Cheese
Hearty amount of LaVic Sauce (Mayonnaise, Chorizo dripping, garlic, fish oil, something fucking spicy) on the bottom bun.
Sweet Baby Rays Hickory Brown Sugar BBQ Sauce on top.
    2 Toasted Hamburger Buns

    /orgasm

Pics to follow as I try to finish this monstrosity.

I was thinking of grabbing one of these tonight but sadly he is taking the night off.

You guys are ahead of Tokyo? If my math is correct it's roughly 12:30 in Tokyo right now? I think they are 15 hours ahead of me. I should have known it was later then 9:30. I know your ahead of Taipei and it's 11:30 there right now.

BTW had some kangaroo yesterday. That shit needs to be made into a burger.

I'd make another one, but there was not enough beef in the package to make one. Looks like I will have to wait another day to start burgin again...

No I don't, I like it but if it wasn't going to be after 11 when I walked in the door I'd mix up some chopped lamb, beef a bit of pancetta and some Boar's Head Vermont Chedda and a on my grill.

I really wanted this Buta Burger from Fukuburger. A patty loaded with applewood smoked bacon, double American Cheese, pickled ginger and some Japanese BBQ Sauce.

    Arggh...buuuurp.

Just got back from lunch and I am really disappointed with myself. It was getting close to 1pm, I finally found a car space but was in an unfamiliar location. So I'm burgin real bad and craning my neck looking for a decent burger joint, not a fast food chain. Alas, none could be found apart from a Burger King.

So I had an Aussie burger from Burger King. A sloppy bun, standard beef patty, lettuce and bad tomato, egg, bacon and sliced beetroot with tomato ketchup.
So that itch was scratched but without any real joy.

    There was an upside.

I had a flash of inspiration.

Scruggy needs to create a BURGIN app for iphone.

An app that tells me the closest burger joint to my current location, complete with ratings from diners, menus, opening times etc.

The egg and the beetroot are the two things that make that particular burger an 'Aussie'

The traditional burger from a suburban take away (take out), usually a fish and chip place, has all that plus a grilled pineapple ring.

    That's a hoot.

I'm truly amazed at how McDonalds and other "American" fast food joints adapt to their locations.

Do they serve fish n chips in newspaper like they do in England?

Here in Mass, we have really fresh fish n chips with Atlantic Cod and when you get it from the local supermarket they give it to you in fake newspaper. I think its really corny.

    yeah, that's corny.

In my lifetime fish and chips has only ever been wrapped up in butchers paper. Which is basically the size of newspaper without the ink all over it. it is also a bit thicker than newspaper.

When I was a kid we'd order minimum chips (60 cents) with salt and vinegar. They are like a fat french fry, about a third of an inch square.
You then would tear the top off your wrapped up bundle of chips and eat them out of the top.

That way you could still do an endo or pop a mono on your BMX and not spill any chips
